Another unique Spanish event offered by Finishers! ➡️ Yes, maybe we’re showing off a little... 😅 But we’re introducing you to the Seville Marathon! 😎 If you already know the city a bit, you know the potential of this race! If, on the other hand, you’ve never heard of it, you’re in the right place to become an expert! 💪 To start with, here’s what you absolutely need to know: you’re heading to Seville, in Andalusia, in the south of Spain 🇪🇸, next February for an exceptional 42 km at the Zurich Maraton de Sevilla!
Hola amigos! 🙋♂️ Get your weekend ready to come take part in the Seville Marathon, in the coolness of February! 📅 This race is one of the first of the marathon season! ❄️ It still deserves to be in the spotlight, since it’s a competition that brings together excellent runners from all over the world! 🌍 Its hype is due to many factors. First of all, the city’s scenery is breathtaking! 😏 Its cathedral, by the way, is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site 🫣. Classy! ⛪ But beyond that, for any runner, this marathon is perfect. The Andalusian climate is ideal at this time of year and will allow you to give it everything you’ve got 🌬️. In fact, Spanish temperatures, even in winter, remain very mild and are great for running 🏃♂️. A marathon that gently brushes your cheeks and that, on top of that, donates €1 from each registration to a charitable cause! 🤝
To top it all off, you’ll get to run on an ideal course. It’s flat and fast, so you can improve your performance! ⏱️ Plus, despite the size of the city, the route will have you run only one loop 🔂. Pretty impressive, we have to admit 😘. And during that little 42 km loop, a few little surprises await you 💫. Let us list a few: a VIP view 👀 of the Pont de la Barqueta 🎖️, passing by the Macarena Gate, a water point under the Giralda bell tower... Anyway! What more could you ask for? 🤔
It’s an event you can’t miss! The setting will win you over 💓, as will the amazing atmosphere—but you probably guessed that already! In Spain, we don’t do things by halves! You’ll be welcomed like royalty—the organization has thought of everything 👑 so you can fully enjoy what the city has to offer: exceptional monuments, warm and lively squares, and the Guadalquivir (the river that runs through the city)! 🏙️ Not to mention all those restaurants serving tortillas 🌮, prawns 🦐, or even fabulous gazpachos! 🍅 Mmmmh, we’re personally drooling! 🤤 If you’re in the mood for something a bit more unusual, we highly recommend going to see one of the many Flamenco shows! 💃 This city is sure to become one of your highlights of the year! ❤️
So, what do you think? We’re already thinking about going! 😜
The Seville Marathon starts at the Paseo de las Delicias. The course is designed as a single big loop all the way to the finish (which is also the Paseo de las Delicias) 🧠. Apart from 4 km in the city center, you’ll never run the same road twice. That’s quite rare for a city of this size (small). This race is also a real boulevard. Even though the route goes through many streets that often form right angles 📐, the race is very smooth and flat 📏. It’s a marathon fast 🚀, paired with an ideal climate ✨.
