The event in a few words

Whether you’re an amateur or a pro, we all have dreams—goals to reach 🎯. We’re sure the race we’re about to tell you about could be on your dream list 📋, because we promise, there aren’t thousands of races like this... 😎 That famous race is the SwissPeaks Trail! 🇨🇭 As its name suggests, the event is held in Switzerland ☀️, between the end of August and the beginning of September 🗓️. The SwissPeaks is more than a race—it’s an adventure! 🚀 And we won’t lie: it’s an adventure that can last more or less a long time, from 10 km to 643 km, to be precise 🫡. Yes, yes, you read that right: 647 km—that’s the equivalent of Paris–Marseille 🚂, just to give you an idea! 💡 This year, the event will celebrate its 10th edition 🎂, ready to welcome runners from all over the world to discover the magnificent Canton of Valais 🏞️.

Let’s get to the heart of the matter and talk distances, because there’s plenty to choose from 🤗. Let’s start with the baby SwissPeaks trails: the 10 km and the half-marathon. These are the shortest distances 🤏, open to anyone who isn’t into long distances but still wants to be part of this big celebration 🎉. You’ll still need strong legs 🦵, because for this half-marathon there is 990 mD+ ⤴️. Next up, the logical next distance is the marathon—and to be exact, it’s actually 46 km with 2,480 mD+. Then, SwissPeaks offers a distance of 72.6 km with 4,387 mD+ 😜. More than a race, it’s a real escape into the heart of nature and the mountains ⛰️, between the Dents du Midi and Lake Geneva 🚣. And now, drumroll please, because the next race crosses the mythical 100 km mark 🤩. This is a race for truly motivated runners who are ready to cross part of Switzerland 🏃‍➡️. Just a bit more patience ⌛—there are three distances left for the most motivated... Or the craziest 🤪, depending. SwissPeaks still has more up its sleeve and offers top athletes the chance to cover 168 km with 10,990 mD+, with passages over legendary passes like the Col de Susanfe! We’re almost there, and the last two distances are impressive: 307 km with 27,530 mD+ to be completed solo or as a duo, and the cherry on top 🍒 is 643 km with 43,800 mD+. These distances are truly reserved for the most experienced, in search of the challenge of a lifetime! 🔥 So you’ve got plenty of choice, and depending on your level, you can come take part in this incredible experience 💪. Finally, kids will also be part of it thanks to the SwissPeaks kids and its three courses open to little ones aged 4 to 12 🧒.

Switzerland might just make you melt, and not only because of its chocolate... 🍫 You’ll see—the landscapes are magnificent 🌄, nature is radiant, and you’ll have it all to yourself 🙂‍↔️. You’ll discover stunning places that will show you every color of the rainbow 🌈. From Lake Geneva, to Morzine, the Col de la Forclaz 🗻, the Mont Gelé, and many more surprises 🎁. Finally, after discovering every last corner of Switzerland, we recommend taking the time to relax and discover a few local specialties 😋. And speaking of specialties, how could we not mention the delicious culinary specialties 🫕. Whether you’re more team savory or sweet 🍬, you’ll find something to delight your taste buds between delicious fondues 🧀, raclettes, or desserts like Engadine nut tart or a good square of Swiss chocolate 🍭.

In any case, this event seems to us to have all the ingredients to be a great success—now it’s just missing you! 👉
