Almaty, the former capital of Kazakhstan, surprises with its endless deceptive flats; here, between breaths, you discover a city where skyscrapers 🌇 flirt with snowy peaks! 🏔️ A visual treat for the eyes 👀. This is evident with participants from around 60 different countries worldwide! 🌏 The Almaty Marathon boasts numerous qualities, but one aspect truly stands out: charity! 🤝 Every edition supports a charitable cause, donating a portion of the entry fees to an association 🙌. Over the years, more than 30 projects have benefited from these crucial contributions. This coming September, your participation will aid children with disabilities!
If your adventurous spirit can still thrive amidst muscle aches, take the opportunity to explore the city 🏙️: the Panfilov Park and its Zenkov Cathedral! ⛪ Notably constructed entirely of wood without a single nail, impressive, right? 🪵 The Green Bazaar is like a museum of Kazakh trade culture, offering kumys (fermented mare’s milk) 🥛 and mountains of spices. Don't miss Kok-Tobe, the hill offering panoramic city views 🤳. You can also dive into the history of a well-known ancient civilization, the Huns, originating from Central Asia, particularly the area now called Kazakhstan! 📜
