The event in a few words

"When we set off at the crack of dawn, when we set off on the roads, by bicycle..." 🎶

Lace up your sneakers 👟, adjust your derailleur and get ready to spin! 🚴 Welcome to the Bike & Run of La Truffière in Marcilly-sur-Tille, in the heart of magnificent Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. In Côte-d’Or, no endless monotonous asphalt 👀—the race drops you straight into a natural setting. If your partner starts to overheat and really gets their hackles up, hand them the bike without arguing! Today, Finishers is offering you a new challenge to take on with your buddy, your teammate or your family 👥. You’ll discover the Tille valley in your own way. On the geography and history side, it’s a region packed with discoveries. The area around Is-sur-Tille and Marcilly is full of gems ✨. Crossed by the Tille 🏞️, this corner of the country still hides real truffles 🍄‍🟫 underground... and sometimes even on the bike 🚲, when your partner forgets to make the handover! Between the dense forests 🌳 of Burgundy and the farm tracks 🚜, the terrain offers a tasty blend of local savoir-vivre and fresh air 💨.

So what does the route 🛣️ look like once your hands are on the handlebars? Get ready for a real treat on profiles that are 100% nature 🌱. Three courses await you and your teammate 👭. The little ones kick things off on the Youth Race (2016–2021), a fun and fully secured 2.5 km route. The little monsters learn about handovers with no pressure to earn their very first medal 🥇. Step it up a notch with the Youth Race (2012–2015) of 6 km: distances get longer and the terrain asserts itself 👏. For the older ones, the XS format offers a playful, high-tempo 12 km course. It’s the perfect moment to get initiated into Bike & Run and switch from handlebars to sneakers without losing the thread 🧵. It’s probably the only race where changing your mind along the way is strongly recommended 🤪. On this course, forget long, endless straight lines—make way for winding paths that snake through the woods 🪵. But don’t take the challenge lightly and watch out for your thighs 🦵: a few leg-breaker sections will spice things up before you hit more flowing stretches. If you feel short of breath, it’s not the tire 🛞 that’s punctured—it's just your lungs begging for mercy 🫁. To keep you buzzing during the race, you’ll string together some very technical trails that will force you to pick a perfect line so you don’t jam the bars or bite the dust. And to finish in style, you throw in everything you’ve got left to cross the finish line under the cheers of the crowd 🥳. No need to have a nose like a truffle-hunting dog 🐶 to sniff out a good deal: the refreshments at the finish can be smelled from miles away.

After coughing up a lung and crossing the line with your teammate 🥵, there’s no way you’re leaving without enjoying the local culture. At the Bike & Run of La Truffière, you don’t calculate your time per kilometer to cross the line 🏁, but to arrive on time for apéro! Nothing beats a good gougère, a piece of Cîteaux cheese 🧀 or a dab of local mustard to clear your nostrils 😤 and celebrate the effort as a duo.

In short? Whether you left your brain 🧠 on the pedals or ran like you had a wolf on your heels 🐺, this event proves one thing: with two people, you always go farther—but above all, you laugh twice as much! 🤣

You’ve got just one thing left to do: force find someone crazy enough to go after the stopwatch ⏱️ by your side.

4 reasons to join this race

The spirit of togetherness 🤝
With two people on a single bike 🚲, communication is your best weapon to aim for the top step of the podium (or just avoid a spill). One minute you pedal, the next you push with your legs, and you manage your handovers by feel so you never leave your teammate in the red.
A natural, authentic playground 🌿
Far from asphalt and exhaust fumes, the race drops you right into the forest along the Tille 🌳. Rolling trails and the fresh air of the Côte-d’Or offer you a privileged green setting that will wow you with every pedal stroke.
An outing to share with the family 🫂
The event has something for everyone with formats tailored to every age group 🗓️. While the youngest put on a show in their own races, the grown-ups can measure themselves as a duo with no pressure.
The perfect excuse for a delicious third half 🤤
Finishing a race in Burgundy without paying tribute to the local gastronomy is almost a sporting crime 😳. After the effort, head for nearby terraces or a trip to Dijon to refuel with regional specialties.

Organizer’s message:

"The Covati area (a community of communes based in Is sur Tille 21120) is an ideal playground for hiking, trail running and mountain biking enthusiasts. It offers a wide diversity of paths, 13 hiking routes and 2 marked MTB routes. That’s how, in 2021, the Bike & Run of La Truffière was born, in partnership with the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté regional triathlon league. This competition is a stage of their regional Bike and Run challenge. Bike and Run is an innovative and fun sporting competition, accessible to everyone. It consists of alternating running and cycling, as a team of 2, but with a single mountain bike. After cutting its teeth for several years in a row in Is-sur-Tille, the Bike & Run changed scenery and moved to Marcilly-sur-Tille in 2025. This move highlights different villages in the area and offers varied and renewed courses. On the program: a new route, an atmosphere as friendly as ever, and the pleasure of discovering Marcilly-sur-Tille from a sporty and festive angle!"
