Cappadocia Wildmarathon 2025

I hope your passport 🪪 is ready and that you are set to head to Turkey 🛫. For the very first time, the region of Cappadocia, filled with breathtaking landscapes 🏞️, is hosting the "Cappadocia Wildmarathon" in Göreme ! So yes, the name already sounds dreamy 😍, but wait to see the rest. For more thrills, this exceptional event takes place in November, promising guaranteed chills 🙌. With these dates, don't forget your fleece and hand warmers, as the temperatures range between 3 and 17 degrees, it stings 🥶.

For five days, the organization offers you to discover the specialties and must-sees of the region 🇹🇷. But it's not a vacation either, for the races, three distances are offered, with elevation 📈 as a guest. 10 km, 21 km or 42 km, an ideal choice to find the right fit 🥾. The marathon challenges you, with 30% of single track, so plan your overtakes carefully 🗺️. The rest of the course will be 65% on dirt tracks 🛣️ and 10% in the city. Your balance will be tested with 850 mD+ and 850 mD-, and your thighs will surely not thank you 🥵. The half and 10 km will also offer varied courses and landscapes. You’ll start with a start and finish in the city, before crossing canyons, valleys, and wonderful villages. This event is organized over five days, not one day more or less. To avoid returning from the airport on foot, the organization takes charge of you from your first step 👟 on Turkish soil. You’ll be housed by the team at the hotel 🏨 for the week (you’re really well accommodated 🛌). So you can enjoy to the fullest, the rest of the program is based on enjoyment 😜.

On the first day, you’ll dive into the heart of the city to discover its architecture and streets, followed by race briefings and culinary delights 🫕. You can also take a high-flying tour with an escapade in the sky 🌠, aboard the region’s hot air balloons (dizziness is not invited). And then, how about a guided walk? Because the adventure continues with the organization of a horseback ride 🐴, along the country’s paths for an unusual visit. Escapades are also planned in caves and iconic castles 🏰. still, prepare a list 📋 (no Christmas 🎅 gifts, you would be a little early), to enjoy your free time, visit before having to return, and get back to your rhythm 😴.

After this journey, does an extension tempt you? It's normal, and you’ll have enough to sign a big contract ✍️. The region of Cappadocia is immense, especially in terms of panoramas. The valley of love ❤️ calls you if you want to recharge, amidst the amazing rocky columns 🪨, called the Fairy Chimneys 🧚‍♀️. They won’t cast spells or gift you powers 🪄 but allow you to see a unique and jaw-dropping landscape. The more adventurous will also be satisfied! The quad rides 🛞 are unmissable in the country, especially at sunset 🌅. While others are racing on four wheels, if you want to chill and pamper yourself, the hammams (Turkish baths in French) 🛁 are the country's trademark, and a massage wouldn’t hurt! Not forgetting the culinary culture, the real kebabs 🌯 are a must. The sweet-tooths are also happy, with baklavas, pastry 🧁 typical of the country, made to forget about diets 🤭.

And if it's the entire adventure you miss, no room for regrets because the Wildmarathon is present in six other different countries 🌎! Stay in Europe and head to Finland, in the land of Santa Claus 🎅 for the Arctic Wildmarathon ☃️. Or take off to Africa, specifically in Morocco, with the Dune Desert Marathon 🌵, or in Tanzania at the Kilimasai Marathon 🇹🇿. Asia is also in the game, with the Yeti Marathon in Nepal (be the first to spot it, it hasn't happened yet! 🐻‍❄️). Finally, America offers you the chance to go either south, to Peru for the Inca Marathon 🇵🇪, and for those who love tacos and sombreros 🪇, the north calls you to Mexico 🇲🇽 with the Maya Marathon!
