The Ecomarathon of Kanazawa located in the beautiful city of Kanazawa, in the Ishikawa prefecture, in Japan ๐ฏ๐ต is a must for any runner ๐โโ๏ธ. The event, taking place in September ๐, offers 3 timed races โฑ๏ธ of 5 km, 10 km and 21 km. Whether you're a beginner or experienced, you'll have the opportunity to run along the cycle path that runs alongside the Saigawa river ๐ฃ. If you've come for a family day out, a parent-child race ๐ฉโ๐ฆ of 5 km is organized and it is non-timed. In any case, you will start at 11 a.m., and since the races are limited to 200 participants in total, you won't risk being trampled when the start is given ๐ค.
With several other sports events organized, particularly in the prefectures of Saitama, Osaka, Hiroshima, Kyoto and Kumamoto (but mainly in Tokyo ๐ธ) the Ecomarathon positions itself as an environmentally conscious ๐ณ and socially engaged organization ๐๏ธ. This year, it is possible to donate to the international refugee support association: Second Harvest Japan. For this half marathon, you will start from the Shin-Mikage Bridge and follow the bed of the Saigawa River! ๐๏ธ
You can pick up your bib on the day of the race between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
The start will be at Saigawa Ryokuchi Park at 11 a.m.
There will be no baggage service on site but a storage area will be set up.
Half Marathon: the time limit is 180 min
10 km: the time limit is 90 min
Parent-child race: no stopwatch

From the east exit of Kanazawa Station, head southwest under the JR Hokuriku Main Line viaduct, turn left (east) at the main entrance of the Kanazawa Citizen's Art Village, and cross the Nagadobe intersection to the riverbed where the event location is. About 2 km from the station.
