The event in a few words

Get ready for the Horikiri Ecomarathon, a sporting experience in March in the heart of Tokyo Prefecture in the Japan 🇯🇵. Specifically, it is in the Katsushika Ward, near Horikiri Shoubuen station, at the Horikiri Waterside Park, where you will start your race at 11 AM sharp ! 🕚 You are therefore set for two race options: a half-marathon or a 10 km, all in the form of a loop. If you have come with your family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦, a parent-child 5 km race is organized. The course also takes the form of a loop 🔂. You will enjoy a course surrounded by lakes, ponds, and beautiful nature 🍃. You will be immersed in a peaceful and inspiring environment, perfect for breaking your personal record or simply savoring every stride 💪. Moreover, you run in a small group of 300 people, ideal for meeting new people 🤗.

With several other sporting events organized, particularly in the prefectures of SaitamaOsakaHiroshimaKyoto and Kumamoto (but mainly in Tokyo 🌸), the Ecomarathon is recognized as an environmentally conscious organization 🌳 and committed to various causes 🎗️. This year, it is possible to donate to the International Refugee Support Association : Second Harvest Japan. Japan's first food bank, the organization ensures that everyone has access to food 🍲. The associations Refugee Empowerment International and Peace Run also benefit from the event's proceeds. A great way to do good for others, the planet, and yourself! 🫶

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

The race start will be at 11 AM on March 29, 2026, at Horikiri Waterside Park, next to Horikiri Shoubuen station.

Bib pickup will take place on site on the day of the race from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.

You will find a baggage storage area on site (but no lockers, so you will be entirely responsible for your valuables). Remember to bring a 45L garbage bag to protect your belongings in case of rain.

  • Semi: the time limit is 3 hours

  • 10 km: the time limit is 1 hour and 30 minutes
