The event in a few words

Have you ever dreamed of running in the land of the rising sun? ๐ŸŒ… Well, here's the perfect opportunity for you! ๐Ÿซต

The Ecomarathon of Kanazawa located in the beautiful city of Kanazawa, in the Prefecture of Ishikawa, in Japan ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต is a must-attend event for any runner ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ. The event, taking place in May ๐Ÿ‚, offers 3 timed races โฑ๏ธ of 5 km, 10 km, and 21 km. Whether you are a beginner or experienced, you will have the opportunity to run along the bike path that follows the Saigawa River ๐ŸŽฃ. If you've come for a family day, a parent-child race ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ of 5 km is organized. You will start at 11 AM, and with the races being limited to 200 participants in total, you won't risk getting trampled when the start is given ๐Ÿค“.

With several other sporting events organized, particularly in the prefectures of Saitama, Osaka, Hiroshima, Kyoto, and Kumamoto (but mainly in Tokyo ๐ŸŒธ), the Ecomarathon stands as an organization environmentally friendly ๐ŸŒณ and committed to different causes ๐ŸŽ—๏ธ. This year, it is possible to donate to the International Refugee Support Association: Second Harvest Japan. The first food bank in Japan, the organization is committed to ensuring everyone has access to food ๐Ÿฒ.

If you plan to extend your stay and explore the region, the Prefecture of Ishikawa is full of tourist attractions for both young and old! ๐Ÿค— Don't miss the must-sees like the Japanese garden Kenroku-en, one of the three most beautiful in Japan ๐Ÿคฉ. For art enthusiasts, the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art will be a treasure trove! ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ To conclude, how about a detour through the old town and the castle? ๐Ÿฏ It's a must to understand the traditional Japanese craftsmanship in terms of artisanal art and feudal architecture ๐Ÿค“.

Tie your laces well and come run for the planet! ๐ŸŒ

4 reasons to join this race

Discover Japan ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต
If you've never been to Japan, running the Kanazawa Ecomarathon is the perfect opportunity to explore a country that blends tradition and modernity at every turn. If you decide to extend your stay, we invite you to explore Ishikawa Prefecture. By the Sea of Japan, not far from the Japanese Alps โ›ฐ๏ธ, you can visit the old town, which develops around the castle park and the famous Kenrokuen Garden ๐Ÿ’.
A flat and fast course โšก๏ธ
Whether you choose to run 5 or 10 km, you might be surprised by the ease of the courses, which could potentially allow you to break your personal record ๐Ÿ…. If you hope to spend a Sunday with your family, a parent-child race is organized for children under 15 years old ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿง’โ€๐Ÿง’.
Participate in human-sized event ๐Ÿ‘ซ
The maximum capacity is 200 people. If you're used to international races with several thousand participants, you'll see that it's not the same bustle! But don't worry, we guarantee you'll have as much (or maybe even more) fun running ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ.
Taste Japanese specialties ๐Ÿฑ
Although less known culinarily than some of its neighbors, the city of Kanazawa offers a wide range of culinary specialties ๐Ÿฅก that will delight you during your stay. We invite you to taste (without moderation) jibuni, kinjiso, or even mochis ๐Ÿก to nicely end your meal ๐Ÿคค.
