La Veroise 2026

If all you know of Normandy is the Mont St-Michel and the Calvados 🍷 (not the department 👀), this race will do you the world of good 😌. We're not saying you're wrong, but Ver-sur-Mer, a small coastal town located a few kilometers from when Caen, is much more than that 👊. Don't worry, we'll explain: ⬇️

Here in April, we're not talking about fish, but rather about sports practice 🏃. The La Veroise association organizes its own trail to introduce the general public to local marvels ✨, and it's not a joke 🐟. Between sea and countryside, you'll wander from town to town 🏙️ and the landscapes will be a sight to behold 🤩. Indeed, these routes around Ver-sur-Mer offer unique viewpoints that will allow you to discover a part of the vast region that is Normandy. You won't discover everything in one race, but it will give you a good taste 🥰.

Regarding distances, the main course 💡 is a 14 km path. Halfway between a trail and a road race, you can find your happiness regardless of your runner profile 🎽. Without overly technical passages, you'll be immersed in Norman nature and can let yourself drift with the wind 🍃. You'll have an incredible view of the entire coastline! 🤩 We warn you in advance: upon arriving at the British Memorial in Ver-sur-Mer, you may be completely absorbed by the view of the sea and the surrounding fields. Certainly, the setting makes you want to stop, but don't forget you have a goal: finish this race! If you turn sea-green with fear 😰 at the thought of embarking on a race longer than 10 km: don't stress, take a deep breath 💨. The organizers have thought of everyone 🫂. You can opt for the 7 km, in either the walk or run version. Just like the classic Veroise, the course will guide you through the landscapes of the North for your greatest joy 🥹. And no matter the race, there's no need to bring walking sticks: no elevation on the horizon! 🌅 You'll be able to operate at full throttle and stride without difficulty 👟. Need another good reason to sign up? Alright, we'll slip one in here: €1 per race number sold is donated to coastal protection. Thus, you contribute to the preservation of this unique natural setting. Congratulations, champion! 💪

After the effort, comes comfort 😴. In William of Normandy's land, you can rediscover a natural heritage and a cultural heritage 📖 that engage in an endless battle to determine which is more extensive 💥. The Cliffs of Étretat, the D-Day beaches 🏴‍☠️, and the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel are perfect examples of this rivalry. If you prefer urban visits 🏙️, the cities of Rouen, Le Havre, or Deauville will be perfect for you 🧱. Between history and leisure activities, you'll have plenty to do. However, if partying is the determining factor 🎉, you can venture to Caen. You might not know, but it's the 3rd best student city in France. And where there are students, there are partygoers 🥳. Head to the Port or Rue Écuyère to try the best Caen bars (and test local alcohol in moderation ⚠️).
