La Veroise 2027

If all you know about Normandy is Mont St-Michel and Calvados 🍷 (not the department 👀), this race is going to do you a world of good 😌. We’re not saying you’re wrong, but Ver-sur-Mer, a small coastal town located a few kilometers from when Caen, is much more than that 👊. Don’t panic, we’ll explain ⬇️.

Here in the month of April, it’s not about fish, but rather about sports 🏃. The La Veroise association organizes its own trail to introduce the general public to local wonders ✨—and it’s no joke 🐟. Between sea and countryside, you’ll stroll from town to town 🏙️ and the scenery will blow you away 🤩. Indeed, these routes around Ver-sur-Mer offer unique viewpoints that will help you discover part of the vast region that is Normandy. You won’t discover everything in a single race, but it’ll give you a great taste 🥰.

As for distances, the flagship route 💡 is a 14 km course. Halfway between trail and road running, you’ll find something to suit you whatever your runner 🎽 profile. With no overly technical sections, you’ll be immersed in Norman nature and you can just go with the flow of the wind 🍃. You’ll have an unbeatable view of the entire coastline! 🌊 We’re warning you in advance: when you arrive at the British Memorial of Ver-sur-Mer, you may be completely captivated by the view of the sea and the surrounding fields. Sure, the scenery makes you want to stop, but don’t forget you have a goal: finish this race! If you’re green sea-green with fear 😰 at the idea of taking on a race longer than 10 km: no stress, take a deep breath 💨. The organizers have thought of everyone 🫂. You can line up for the 7 km, as a walk or a run. Just like the classic "La Veroise" , the route will guide you through the landscapes of the North for your greatest happiness 🥹. And whatever the event, no need to bring your walking poles: no elevation gain on the horizon! 🌅 You’ll be able to go full throttle and open up your stride without difficulty 👟. After effort comes comfort 😴. In the land of William of Normandy, you’ll find natural heritage and cultural heritage 📖 locked in an endless battle to see which one is richer 💥. The Cliffs of Étretat, the D-Day landing beaches 🏴‍☠️ and the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel are perfect examples of this rivalry. If you prefer urban 🏙️ visits, the cities of Rouen, Le Havre or Deauville will be perfect for you 🧱. Between history and fun activities, you won’t be short of things to do. On the other hand, if partying is the deciding factor 🎉, you can head off to conquer Caen. You may not know it, but it’s the 3rd best student city in France. And student means partygoer 🥳. Head to the Port or Rue Écuyère to try the best bars in Caen (be careful though if you take on the local spirits 🥃: alcohol should be consumed in moderation ⚠️).
