One Light, Two On, Three Tri, let's go! Heading to the Meuse, for the LIGHT ON TRI Madine***, the new must-attend event for triathletes in the Grand Est... and maybe soon yours too! ๐ We'll meet in mid-September in Nonsard-Lamarche, between Metz and Nancy, for a crazy triathlon with nearly a thousand participants each year ๐ฅ. Needless to say, there will be some elbowing at the start line! ๐ช Go on, make your choice... Between the S format and M, there's something for everyone. We're even hearing in our earpiece ๐ฆป that there's an L format for those with bigger appetites! Yes indeed, Jamy ๐ค. With two kids' races for ages 6 to 9 and ages 10 to 13, the youngest will get their share too! ๐ซก
Nestled in Lorraine, the competition starts at Lake Madine ๐, an artificial lake that serves as a biodiversity reserve ๐ฆ, and which is, among other things, the largest lake in the region ๐ง. No less than that ๐ฎ. This region is ideal for outdoor sports with its rolling paths, the Meuse hills, meadows ๐ผ and woodlands ๐ชต. Everything is in place for a sporting experience rich in challenges! โก๏ธ Don't forget your star sunglasses ๐, not because you're going to shine brightly (even though we're sure you will), but because there's a good chance the sun will poke its nose out for your greatest pleasure... ๐ Yes indeed, at this time of year, it's guaranteed Indian summer! Temperatures will hover around 20ยฐC, although water temperatures are rather cool ๐ฅถ, hence the strongly recommended neoprene wetsuit! โ ๏ธ Rather pleasant "all rintintin" conditions, as our friends in the Grand-Est say, for a weekend of great sport and sharing! ๐
And if you're the tireless type ๐คช, and still have some energy left in your legs, go off and discover the surroundings. You won't be disappointed! ๐คซ Located a few kilometers from Nonsard-Lamarche, the Butte de Montsec is an isolated hill that offers a spectacular panoramic view ๐ over the whole Woรซvre plain and Lake Madine, making it a spot much appreciated by hikers for its natural viewpoint at 360ยฐ ๐๏ธ. For a slightly more cultural visit ๐ค, you can head to the Vent des forรชts ๐ณ, a preserved natural place where natural beauty and contemporary art meet along nearly 45 km of trails ๐ถโโ๏ธโโก๏ธ. But don't worry, we've also thought of your taste buds... ๐ After all that sport ๐ดโโ๏ธ, it's only natural for your stomach to cry out for food. Luckily, the Grand Est region is rich in exceptional dishes! Treat yourself in the land of pรขtรฉ and quiche Lorraine ๐ฅง. Awaken your sense of taste with the unique flavor of local truffle, and finish with a sweet touch ๐ญ with the Commercy madeleines, the famous madeleines (of Proust) that inspired Marcel... *drumroll ๐ฅ* Proust (unsurprisingly)! ๐โโ๏ธ
So, charmed by the Grand Est? The LIGHT ON TRI Madine*** ๐ triathlon is just waiting for you! ๐ซต
