Marathon de Milan

The event in a few words

Welcome to the capital of Lombardy 🇮🇹

The Milan Marathon is gearing up to sweep you off your feet in 2025! 🤩 Known worldwide in the running community, the Milan Marathon isn't just any race; it's an unforgettable experience that stays with each participant! 💗 It stands out for being Italy's fastest marathon 🏃‍♂️, starting and finishing in the heart of the country’s second-largest city. If running 42 kilometers solo isn't your cup of tea, worry not, you can still join the fun with a relay team of 4! 💣 Together, stronger than ever, each runner will tackle between 6.5 to 13 kilometers. 👣 You'll pass by plenty of iconic landmarks, from the Arco Della Pace 🏛️ and Castello Sforzesco 🏰 to the Duomo, not to mention the Trenno Park 🌳, San Siro Racecourse 🏇, and the G.Meazza Stadium! 🏟️ Lucky runners! The vibrant atmosphere is what truly sets the Milan Marathon apart 🥳. Every corner is a party, arguably more fun than some wild nights out! 🤪 The Italians will surely be there, cheering you on with their resonant voices! 🗣️ The route mainly passes through the city's high points, ensuring a festive environment supported by the passionate crowds 🕺. Did you know there's also a dog race included? 🐶 What better way to push your limits than alongside your loyal four-legged friend? This 2 km race takes place on Saturday for our furry friends 🐩. That Saturday will also see the Family Run, so bring your loved ones along for a fun race together! 👨‍👧‍👧

But, running aside, you might be wondering what else Milan has to offer? Well, there's plenty, and it's not just about fashion 👗. To prove it, Finishers suggests unique spots to make your stay even more exciting! For your first day, don't miss the downtown streets. The Duomo, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, the Palazzo Reale, the Museo del Novecento, the Teatro della Scala, and the Pinacoteca di Brera. Let's start off lightly with a visit to the Brera Botanical Garden, founded by Empress Maria Theresa of Austria 👑, home to over 300 species of plants. Ever heard of Igloo Houses? ❄️ Not those from the Arctic, but right here in Italy! 😵 They're a curious architectural wonder of Milan post-World War II. If you enjoy climbing, why not ascend the steps to the Milan Cathedral rooftop? You know, the Duomo (right where your race starts 😉).

For a more whimsical visit 🤗, check out the city’s unique bars, like the rustic and creative Mag Café, where you can enjoy numerous cocktails in a Rock’n’roll atmosphere 🤘. Or for a calmer vibe, experience a cinematic world at Bar Luce, a film set come to life with vintage retro decor 🎬. Milan will keep you busy, that's for sure…

So, see you at the Milan Marathon? 💪 Grab your bib and come explore the fashion city! 🤳

5 reasons to join this race

A Lightning Fast Race 🥇
You heard us right, this course is super fast! Plus, it's flat and smooth, so if you're an experienced runner, you're in for a treat. In 2021, Kenyan runner Itus Ekiru finished in 2'2"57! 📳 An incredible performance that proves this race can help you beat your personal best! 🏆
An Incredible Atmosphere 🤯
It's not something to overlook! If you're gearing up to push your limits in a marathon, you'll need all the support you can get, and there'll be no shortage here! 🥳 The Milanese will be out in force, but there will also be DJs 📀 and musicians to light up the course! 🎶
A Course That Will Make You Look Up 👀
You'll pass by numerous monuments along the way ⛪, so even though the course is really fast, the breathtaking scenery might make you slow down a bit, or at least we hope not too much, but consider yourself warned! From the start to the finish line at Piazza Duomo with all the other surprises in store, you're sure to enjoy it 😇.
The Fashion Capital! 👔
Yes, we mentioned there's a lot to do, and that's true! But surely, among the runners, there are some fashion enthusiasts hiding! 👞 They won't be disappointed either. With big brand flagships, couturiers, and stores galore, Milan's international reputation is well-deserved! 🧥
Races for Everyone! 👐
If the marathon seems a bit daunting, you can always do it as a 4-person relay ✌️, breaking down the distance to be more manageable. Or share the 2 km race experience with your four-legged best friend, or bring your whole family along for the Family Run! So, what do you think? 🤝
