At the end of August, the heatwave will be in full swing in the north of France... ๐ฅต But it won't affect you: you have a date at Northstowe north of Cambridge in England. On the occasion of the Northstowe Festival of Running, you will enjoy a bubble of nature ๐ฟ just steps away from a big city ๐๏ธ. Here, no burning asphalt or hot drafts between the skyscrapers ๐ฅ, just the coolness of tree shade ๐ณ, and lakes to cool off! ๐๏ธ This road race event will be ideal to end your summer beautifully and gently return to running ๐.
Yes, the distances are not those of ultra-trail! The Northstowe Festival of Running is open to all runners, even the less experienced ๐ค. Who said novices couldn't join the fun? ๐ So put on your best hat and swap your flip-flops for your best pair of sneakers! ๐ 5 km, 10 km or Half Marathon, choose according to your level and desires ๐ฅฐ. And if you don't want to lose sight of your child ๐ง, you can start the "Family Mile" of 500 m in the heart of Western Park. All courses will start from the park ๐: a chance to party all day long! ๐ You'll definitely be cheered along the way! ๐ The arrival will be grand as the routes allow you to push hard ๐โโก๏ธ. Straight lines, no elevation, the beauty of the lakes to stay motivated and beat your PB ๐. Run even faster knowing your participation will contribute to a charitable cause ๐๏ธ.
After crossing the finish line ๐ and enjoying the festivities ๐, take a tour around Cambridgeshire. The nearby small towns ๐๏ธ, like Longstanton, have remained authentic and rich in history. Prefer the city? Visit Cambridge ๐, just 30 minutes by car and explore the university and the museums ๐ผ๏ธ. Take a boat ride on the River Cam while enjoying a Fish & Chips! ๐
