The event in a few words

Iron Man, Captain America 🦸‍♂️, Hulk and Thor 🔨, all these superheroes have become stars! ⭐ But how about becoming the greatest Avenger star? 😎 For that, you'll need to wear your best race number 🎽 and cross the finish line of a marathon 🏁, but not just any marathon: the Stavanger Marathon! 📍 It's in the fourth largest city of Norway 🏙️ where you'll undergo your trial by fire to have your name etched in legend ✒️. Between city, park, lakes and seaside 🏞️, you'll have to face some elevation gain to complete this road race! 🛣️ But at the start of the Cathedral ⛪, the atmosphere will be such that it will give you wings! 🪽

And if you're not ready to tackle the 42,195 km of the marathon, don't worry, that won't void your mission 😉. In the half-marathon or 5 km, you can also prove what you're capable of! 💪 You can also complete the relay marathon with a team of 10 superheroes! 🤝 So bring your best team 👑. And watch out because you will be plunged into the Norwegian fjords (well not into the water, you're not starting a triathlon 🏊). This region of Norway, besides being the heart of the country's oil industry 🛢️, has natural landscapes and monuments that will leave you speechless 😮. But don't linger too long, you still have a race to finish! 😂 Plus, at the finish line, you'll cross over to the other side of the barrier to cheer on the next generation of Avengers: the mini-superheroes 🧒 will also be present! An army of little legs will take on a 440 m loop around the Cathedral, amidst cheering supporters! 🎉 What is good to know is that besides being festive, this event is charitable! 🎗️ By taking your race number, you support the association "The Hospital Clowns" which helps children and young people enjoy life and get through a tough day at the hospital 🫶. A real superhero all the way to your sneakers! 👟

After your performance, take time to explore Stavanger and its surroundings 🚶‍➡️. Stroll through Old Stavanger and its cobbled streets lined with white wooden houses, typical of the area 🏘️. It's an opportunity to be completely out of your element! 😍 To learn a bit more about the history of this city and its importance in the oil industry, the Petroleum Museum will open its doors to you! 🤗 If you haven't seen enough fjords during your run and want more, you can head to Preikestolen (The Preacher's Pulpit), an hour's drive away 🚗. This gorgeous rocky plateau offers panoramic views of the Lysefjord 🪨. A not insignificant reward after the effort of the race! 😲 Plus, you can pair this trip with a delicious fish specialty, typical of Norway 🐟. Gotta replenish your energy after such a feat, right? 😏

So come and become the next Avenger of the Stavanger Marathon! 🌟
