Get ready for the Saรฏko Ecomarathon, a sporting experience in December in the heart of Saitama Prefecture in Japan ๐ฏ๐ต. With several other sporting events organized, especially in the prefectures of Saitama, Osaka, Hiroshima, Kyoto and Kumamoto (but mainly in Tokyo ๐ธ), the Ecomarathon positions itself as an organization concerned about the environment ๐ณ and committed to various causes ๐๏ธ. This year, it is possible to donate to the international refugee aid association: Second Harvest Japan. Japan's first food bank, the organization is committed to ensuring everyone has access to food ๐ฒ.
Despite its urbanization, the Saitama Prefecture remains significant for its agriculture. It includes vegetable ๐ฅฆ, rice ๐, and tea ๐ต productions. A parent-child race ๐งโ๐งโ๐งโ๐ง is organized during the day, with the start at 11 AM sharp ๐. It is non-timed and accessible to children up to 15 years old.
Bib pickup will be on-site on race day from 9 AM to 10:30 AM.
The races will start at 11 AM on December 28, 2025, at Doman Green Park.
Half Marathon: the time limit is 3 hours
10 km: the time limit is 1 hour 30 minutes
Parent-child race: the race is not timed
You will find a designated area to store your luggage on-site (but no lockers, you will be entirely responsible for your valuables). Remember to bring a 45L garbage bag to protect your belongings in case of rain.
