The event in a few words

The Flo'WeRun is THE short-distance race within everyone’s reach who wants to contribute to a great cause ❤️.

On the menu for this edition, we’re offering you a 10 km, a 5 km and a 3 km in the beautiful city of Lille, in the North of France 🇫🇷. It’s just as perfect an opportunity to test your performance or simply enjoy yourself, while running along the iconic paths of Lille’s Citadel Park in October 🍁.

The Flo'WeRun is above all a tribute to Florence, a sparkling woman, passionate about sports, and also the mother of two children. She was taken by peripartum cardiomyopathy, also called Meadows syndrome, which affects mothers in the last month of pregnancy or within 5 to 6 months after giving birth. Behind this tribute that her friends and family wanted to pay her through "Cœur des Mamans Priorité Prévention", there is this deep conviction to raise awareness and speed up research into this disease and its still little-known symptoms... Indeed, the funds raised at the Flo'WeRun are allocated to the association! 💛 Since 2020, you can even run your race remotely to support the project 🙌.

And after the effort... comes the comfort! 👀 If you’re stopping by the capital of Hauts-de-France, on the Belgian border 🇧🇪, it’ll be the perfect chance to play tourist! Ch'ti fries! 🍟 Mussels, fries, maroilles 🧀 (sometimes put in coffee, yes), in Lille you’ll feast on every street corner. We still recommend you head to the heart of Lille’s gastronomy, rue de Gand located in Vieux-Lille 😋. After filling your belly, we suggest a cultural stroll to digest it all. Before on a course recce, or afterwards to take the time to contemplate the building, head to the Lille Citadel where your race will take place. Nicknamed the "Queen of citadels", it is a vestige of French history. Built in the 17th century by the Marquis de Vauban under the direction of King Louis XIV 🌞, the latter described it as the "most beautiful citadel in his kingdom" 🏰. After taking in this first setting, you can visit the Palace of Fine Arts of Lille; this exceptional museum is one of the largest museums in France, housing many works from all corners of the continent! 🌍 Its permanent collection and temporary exhibitions are must-sees for art lovers 👩‍🎨. Finish your stroll by heading to the Grand'Place in the city center. This square is surrounded by iconic buildings such as the Old Stock Exchange and the Goddess column 👸.

So, ready to run for a cause ? 🌟 Create unforgettable memories, and set off on a warm, motivating adventure in the heart of one of France’s most beautiful cities 🫶.
