Get ready for the Futako-Tama Ecomarathon, a sporting experience in January in the heart of the Setagaya prefecture in Japan ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต. More precisely in the city of Futako-Tamagawa (also called Nikotama), by the Tama River, in the Tamagawa Futako Bridge Park, where you will start your race at precisely 11:00 AM ! ๐Ÿ•š You're heading out for two races to choose from: a half-marathon or a 10 km, all in a loop format. If you've come with family ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ, a parent-child race non-timed, of 5 km is organized. The course also takes the form of a loop ๐Ÿ”‚. You can enjoy a track surrounded by lakes, ponds, and beautiful nature ๐Ÿƒ. You'll be immersed in a peaceful and inspiring environment, perfect for breaking your personal record or simply enjoying every stride ๐Ÿ’ช. Moreover, you'll be running in a small group of 300 people, ideal for making new friends ๐Ÿค—.

With several other sporting events organized, particularly in the prefectures of SaitamaOsakaHiroshimaKyoto and Kumamoto (but mainly in Tokyo ๐ŸŒธ), the Ecomarathon positions itself as an environmentally conscious ๐ŸŒณ and committed organization ๐ŸŽ—๏ธ. This year, it is possible to donate to the international refugee support association : Second Harvest Japan. Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

The races will start at 11:00 AM on January 18, 2026, a 3-minute walk from Futako Shinchi Station
Seta Picnic Square.

Bib pickup will take place on-site on the day of the race from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM.

You will find a luggage storage area on site (but no cloakroom, you are fully responsible for your valuables). Remember to bring a 45L garbage bag to protect your belongings in case of rain.

  • Half-marathon: the time limit is 3 hours

  • 10 km: the time limit is 1 hour and 30 minutes

  • Parent-child race: the race is not timed
