The event in a few words

We have a new challenge for you that is likely to really please you ๐Ÿ˜Ž. In the month of January, a unique cycling concept ๐Ÿšด, belonging to the very famous "GravelMan" series, takes off once again in the รŽle-de-France region. Paris East, the birthplace of the event, holds a variety of wonders in store for you and we assure you will not be disappointed with your visit! โœจ

At the beginning of winter, head towards the city of light to tackle a new challenge โš”๏ธ. If you are tired of classic races and standard competitions, GravelMan Paris East will surely capture your heart ๐Ÿ’“. Between forest paths, rocky trails and small paved roads, youโ€™ll experience the full spectrum ๐ŸŒณ. The concept is simple: once you choose your distance and pay for your bib, you will receive the route details, including the start and finish locations, as well as the mandatory and necessary equipment for your journey ๐Ÿ“‹. And there is no going in circles in the Parisian capital: the routes will lead you through the entire region, offering you a scenic view ๐Ÿ‘€. On average, itโ€™s 60-70% gravel parts, with 30 to 40% paved parts. Green and gravel paths and natural trails will be your daily scenery throughout the weekend ๐Ÿ“…. And if you don't want to part with your beloved asphalt: thatโ€™s also possible. Each distance of 60, 120, 200, 350, and 500 km is also available in road version, with similar elevation ๐Ÿ“ˆ. So there's no valid excuse not to start โŒ.

In more detail, you can choose between 5 distances, depending on your profile or your ambitions ๐Ÿ‘‘. The first route covers 60 km and is the most accessible of all the options. If itโ€™s your first cycling race, whether in gravel or asphalt mode, it's a very good first challenge ๐Ÿ†: not too short or too long, plus youโ€™ll be home in time for dinner ๐Ÿคค. For the rest, starting at 120 km, it's no longer a walk in the park ๐Ÿ‘•. Limited to 18 hours maximum effort, youโ€™ll have to push hard to finish before nightfall ๐ŸŒ™. To be safe, we advise you to bring a headlamp and lights so you don't end up navigating by the stars โญ๏ธ. For athletes seeking a challenging yet manageable course, the 200 km challenge is ideal: with its 1,800 mD+ and 200 km, we can assure your legs will feel the burn๐Ÿฆต. The final routes of 350 km and 500 km are for truly experienced athletes ๐ŸŽฝ. Don't take on such distances without training. Weโ€™re talking about 2 to 3 days of non-stop efforts on average ๐Ÿคฏ. Youโ€™ll be relieved to finally sit on a comfy couch once you reach the finish line and end the discomfort of bike saddles ๐Ÿ›‹๏ธ. But hey, that's part of the charm of the activity, isn't it? ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

After a good night's sleep (or two if needed โœ…), you can put away your bike and start exploring on foot ๐Ÿ‘ฃ. The area is brimming with urban and natural wonders. As for the Parisian capital ๐Ÿ™๏ธ, we won't list all the monuments to see: that would take too long and several weeks to discover everything ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ. However, we can recommend some nice spots in the surroundings. If you like History with a capital H ๐Ÿ“š, the splendid Palace of Versailles will plunge you into the decor of the 17th and 18th centuries, when The Sun King ruled France with an iron fist. For nature and environment, the Fontainebleau Forest is perfect for picnicking with family or friends ๐Ÿงบ. Just over an hour by car from Paris, the green and calming setting of the park will make you forget the Parisian stress and daily problems ๐Ÿ’ญ. You will also find plenty of hiking trails if you have more energy to spare โšก๏ธ.

Ready to engrave your name in the history of the discipline? Then let's meet after the holiday season to see how far you're capable of cycling ๐Ÿšต.

4 reasons to join this race

Custom distances ๐Ÿ“
60, 120, 200, 350 or 500 km, you're sure to find a distance that suits you ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™‚๏ธ. It might require some training, but we are sure you will finish the chosen course ๐Ÿ’ช.
Suspense until the last moment ๐Ÿ‘€
Even though you already know how many kilometers you will climb and cover, the types of surfaces you will ride on, and the region you will cross, you won't know the exact race route until a few days before the start ๐Ÿ. Since reconnaissance is impossible, GravelMan events have that little extra unpredictability and real-time discovery ๐Ÿ˜.
An original concept ๐ŸคŒ
GravelMan Paris East is part of the GravelMan Series events, which are gradually gaining more popularity in France and abroad ๐ŸŒ. The offering of both gravel and road races is enjoying enormous success ๐Ÿšฒ. If you like this new concept, you can also find other official editions in Lyon, Bordeaux, Wallonia, or Marrakech. This might be the first step of a long journey for you ๐Ÿ˜‰.
A very accessible region ๐Ÿš„
Situated at the crossroads of all rail ๐Ÿšž, road ๐Ÿš—, and air โœˆ๏ธ lines, you shouldnโ€™t have any trouble getting there. Just remember to bring your bike so youโ€™re not unprepared on the big day.
