"Oh Oh Oh" ๐ Oops, wrong season! ๐ No, no, it's in April that it all happens! But you're still going to feel like it's Christmas ๐. What, you didn't know? Come on, join us to learn all about the next edition of Haut Morocco!
For this intensive competition, we take you to Morocco ๐ฒ๐ฆ, in the small towns of Imlil and Ouirgane, located 67 km from the beautiful Marrakech. Slip on your slippers... I mean your sneakers... ๐ because we offer you a competition where you'll surely find happiness ๐ฅน. Several trail courses are offered: 10 km (200 mD+), 21 km (1,000 mD+), 44 km (2,300 mD+), and three ultras of 60 km (3,000 mD+), 85 km (4,700 mD+), and 120 km (6,400 mD+). You'll quickly realize the setting doesn't disappoint since you will have the chance to run in the High Atlas mountain range, between stone deserts ๐ชจ and snowy mountains ๐. Does it make your mouth water? ๐ Come on, we'll tell you more about these beautiful, technical, and demanding races over a nice cup of mint tea ๐ซ.
The Haut Morocco, as its name suggests, takes place in the heights of Morocco ๐ฒ๐ฆ. And so, obviously, it's the High Atlas mountain range that's going to be highlighted! ๐ The event takes place in the Marrakech-Safi region, near the former royal capital Marrakech ๐ฒ๐ฆ. With a breathtaking view of the arid desert and the High Atlas โ๏ธ (nicknamed "the roof of Morocco" ๐), the races promise to be rich in atypical landscapes. Moreover, this nature is widely preserved ๐ก๏ธ from human pollution ๐. This attention to the respect of these natural areas has notably allowed many species to thrive. Yes, there is no shortage of outdoor activities! Enthusiasts will be amazed by the richness of the local wildlife in the national park of Toubkal, which is home to gazelles, lynxes ๐ฑ, leopards ๐, jackals, mouflons, and also birds of prey ๐ฆ . So, even if you'll explore it extensively, you'll surely want to see more once the competition is over, including the cliffs, the lake, the waterfalls, the gorges, the ridges, the watercourses, and the steep peaks that make up the area.
After completing your mission ๐ and soaking your bib, you'll then have plenty of time to engage in your favorite activities, whether they are sportive, cultural, historical, religious, or gastronomic ๐ฅณ. Indeed, the Marrakech-Safi region is the perfect mix between wild nature and urban dynamism ๐บ. For example, you can continue your adventure by enjoying one of the hiking trails in the High Atlas or going horseback riding ๐ด, or a tour on a donkey or camel ๐ช. You can also go quad biking in the Agafay desert to observe the enchanted oasis ๐คฉ and take a dip after traveling by canoe.
So, if you're still not convinced, know that we have other arguments โก๏ธ. One of them is called "tagine", the other, "couscous"... ๐ฅ You know what we're talking about? Your head must be in a souk ๐ with all this information! So we'll let you recover and meet you under the sun ๐ of Marrakech, in June next, in the Medina of the city ๐.
