Does that whet your appetite? ๐ Come on, we'll tell you more about these beautiful, technical, and challenging races over a nice cup of mint tea ๐ซ.
The High Morocco, as its name suggests, takes place in the heights of Morocco ๐ฒ๐ฆ. Therefore, itโs the High Atlas chain that will be honored! ๐ The event takes place in the region of Marrakech-Safi, near the ancient royal capital Marrakech ๐ฒ๐ฆ. With a breathtaking view of the arid desert and the High Atlas โ๏ธ (nicknamed "the roof of Morocco" ๐), the races promise to be rich in atypical landscapes. Moreover, this nature is largely preserved ๐ก๏ธ from human pollution ๐. This attention to respecting these natural areas has notably allowed many species to thrive. Indeed, outdoor activities are not lacking! Enthusiasts will be amazed by the richness of the local fauna at the Toubkal National Park, which is home to gazelles, lynx ๐ฑ, leopards ๐, jackals, mouflons, and even birds of prey ๐ฆ . So, even though you will explore it extensively, you will surely want to see more, once the competition is over, particularly the cliffs, lake, waterfalls, gorges, ridges, watercourses, and steep peaks that comprise the area.
After completing your mission ๐ and soaking your race bib, you will then have plenty of time to indulge in your favorite activities, whether sports, cultural, historical, religious, or gastronomic ๐ฅณ. Indeed, the Marrakech-Safi region is the perfect blend of wild nature and city buzz ๐บ. You can, for example, continue on your streak by enjoying one of the hiking trails of the High Atlas or by taking a horseback ride ๐ด, a donkey, or a camel ๐ช. You can also go quad biking in the Agafay desert to observe the enchanted oasis ๐คฉ and take a dip after canoeing.
So, if you're still not convinced, know that we have other arguments โก๏ธ. One of which is called "tajine", the other "couscous"... ๐ฅ You know what we're talking about? Your head must be in a souk ๐ with all this information! So we'll let you recover and weโll meet you under the sun ๐ of Marrakech, next June, in the Medina of the city ๐.
