The event in a few words

Get into champion mode! ๐Ÿ†

The Eurometropolis of Metz, in the Moselle region, is rolling out the red carpet to welcome you for a race that is both urban and rural ๐ŸŒพ. You'll get to explore its exceptional heritage and charming countryside surroundings over an entire October weekend. So, quickly gear up (and dress warmly โ˜๏ธ) to experience a festive and popular event in the Grand Est region: the Euro Marathon Metz.

A word of advice: give it your all because there are 7 events waiting for you ๐Ÿ’ฅ. If you're feeling brave, take on the Euro Marathon Metz. If the daunting 42.195 km are too much or you've missed too many training sessions (it happens, don't worry ๐Ÿซก), you can opt for the relay race! Form a team of two or four brave knights ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ and tackle the challenge with your squad's strength ๐Ÿ’ช. This race offers you an urban track where you'll run along the Moselle river, admire the magnificent Saint-Etienne Cathedral, and traverse the Saint Symphorien Stadium. Still not convinced? ๐Ÿง You can choose the 10 km course, entirely within the city limits, taking you on a run through the historical streets of this three-thousand-year-old city ๐Ÿ‘ด. Historical monuments centuries old โณ and more recent additions ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ stand side by side, showcasing the amazing architectural diversity of the city ๐Ÿ˜. The remaining 3 events are designed for children, with distances suitable for their age and all skill levels ๐Ÿ™Œ. Itโ€™s a great way to instill the values of sports in them in the most wonderful manner ๐Ÿซถ.

Youโ€™ve got it; the Euro Marathon Metz is truly worth the visit, featuring stunning sights along the way. But there's more to it than just beautiful scenery! Its smooth course provides the perfect opportunity for you to achieve a personal best time while indulging in the visual treats. Additionally, this event is committed to being responsible and sustainable ๐ŸŒ, with numerous initiatives in waste management ๐Ÿšฎ and social cohesion ๐Ÿค. The atmosphere will also be electrifying, lifting your spirits during tough moments ๐Ÿฅต with musicians spread throughout the course ๐Ÿฅ. Plus, you can enjoy festivities at the marathon village even before the race ๐Ÿค—.

Your few hours of running surely won't be enough to explore all the marvelous heritage of the city ๐Ÿซฃ. So, consider staying a bit longer after your run ๐Ÿ“. We promise, you won't regret it! ๐Ÿคš To wrap up your Metz adventure nicely, visit the imposing Saint-Etienne Cathedral: standing 42 meters tall, it boasts the most extensive collection of stained glass in Europe ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ. Don't forget to drop by the Cour d'Or Museum, which showcases around 2,000 years of history. As for local cuisine, make sure to try the legendary quiche Lorraine ๐Ÿฅง. We assure you, it's nothing like your usual Tuesday night quiche, this one is exquisite ๐Ÿคค. You can also savor Munster, a characterful cheese from Lorraine ๐Ÿ˜ˆ. For a sweet finish (and fresher breath), end your meal with the famous Mirabelles de Lorraine! ๐Ÿˆ
