Head towards Cape Verde! 🟢 A clever pun, isn't it? 🤪 If you are among those who love adventure, sport, and travel, we have something that should please you: the Treg Cabo Verde Trail 😍. The event takes place on the African continent and more specifically on the island of Santo Antao in Cape Verde 🏖️. It is the second largest island of Cape Verde, known for its volcanic and mountainous nature 🏔️. Beyond a race, it is a 10-day epic that awaits participants 🔥. The organization has planned everything for the participants from the flight, bus, and boat transfers, you will have nothing to do but run! 🏃♀️ And to run, you will have a program with 5 well-conducted stages, totaling 7,000 mD+.
To participate in this challenge, you will need to have experience in the world of trail running and many hours of practice under your belt! 🚀 We hope that each of the stages doesn't make your head spin too much, as you will be guided by a GPS provided by the organization 📍. It's a bit more modern than a compass, rest assured 🧭. You will have to find your way through the vast wild nature that is the island of Santo Antao! 🐒 The perfect mix between land, sea, nature, forest, and mountain! 🌊 And, in case you feel a little down, we have a little secret to tell you, it's on Santo Antao that grogue is made 🥃. Grogue is a spirit made from sugar cane, similar to rum (excessive drinking is dangerous for your health) 🍬. It's THE must-have drink in Cape Verde! 🍋🟩
And after the effort, how about some comfort? 😋 Over the ten days of travel awaiting participants, there are naturally days of rest and discovery, notably in Mindelo, a city located on the island of Sao Vincente! 🌴 Mindelo is considered the cultural capital of Cape Verde 🤓. Then, something else pleasant is to visit the municipal market of Mindelo! 🥗 The market is the best way to discover local traditions, gastronomy, customs... ❤️ Lastly, to round off this beautiful little program, let yourself be tempted by a concert of traditional Cape Verdean music like morna or coladeira! 🎶
Put on your shoes and socks, Cape Verde awaits you at the starting line! 👟
This Treg starts on April 30, 2027, and ends on May 10, 2027.
During these 10 days of adventure, you will have 5 mountain stages with a total of 7,000 mD+.
