The event in a few words

Running with your legs is good, but running with your heart is even better! ❤️ The La Ronde du Hibou race is above all a charity urban trail charity that aims to raise funds for the Marie Lannelongue hospital 🏥, which specializes in the care of heart and lung conditions 🫁. The funds raised during the event will be donated to this hospital's Endowment Fund and will be used to co-finance equipment to encourage physical activity for children suffering from congenital heart disease 🫶. The race will be held in Le Plessis-Robinson, less than 10 km from Paris 🏃‍♀️. This charming little town in the Hauts-de-Seine is made up of many green spaces 🌲, such as the Bois de la Garenne or the Bois de la Solitude (we promise you won't be alone there, despite the name) 🤪. Participants will be able to run their best strides, combining business with pleasure, all in a superb setting! 🥰

The great thing is that everyone can put their heart into this event! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Indeed, the organizer, the Plessis Robinson Athlétic Club, offers three distances open to all levels ✅. First, there is "La Course du Cœur", a 1.5 km distance open to everyone 🤝. For those who want to challenge themselves a bit more, there will be a 7 km 🖐️. The route crosses the Bois de la Garenne and the Solitude woods while running alongside the Henri Sellier park 🌳. Finally, for those who love a challenge, a 16 km race will let participants discover the lovely Parc de la Vallée aux Loups 🐺. The cherry on the cake is that even the little ones will have their place, with a race dedicated to them 🧒. With these races, you will be able to discover every corner of this charming town, which is home to both the city and greenery 🌿. That is precisely why the race is an urban trail 👟. Participants will be able to discover the city's emblematic places in a family-friendly and convivial atmosphere 🥳.

After this great collective effort, and if you still have a bit of energy, we recommend taking some time to visit the surroundings of the capital! 😎 You can, for example, stroll through the gardens of the Domaine de Sceaux 🪴, visit the magnificent Palace of Versailles for a touch of historical culture 🏰, or, as a last option, spend some time at the Domaine de Saint-Cloud for a family picnic! 🍽️

Pull up your socks 🧦, get your sneakers ready and be prepared for this charity race that will help the children of the hospital! 🙏

4 reasons to join this race

For a truly good cause ❤️
Running La Ronde du Hibou is a sporting adventure, but above all it is a wonderful human adventure 👋. The funds raised during the event will be donated to the Endowment Fund of the Marie Lannelongue hospital to co-finance equipment that encourages physical activity for children suffering from congenital heart disease. This hospital works mainly in the pulmonary and cardiac fields 🫀.
To challenge yourself 🏆
This race can be a great opportunity to pick up your first bib for a race 🎽. The festive and friendly atmosphere leaves no room for pressure, and the clock is not the essential part of this event ⌚.
To get a taste of the trail spirit 👟
Getting your foot in the door of trail running also means taking part in urban trails! If you are a road runner, this is the perfect opportunity to come and run in the woods 🌲. The course takes small paths and about 1,000 steps, with switchback descents, climbs and beautiful viewpoints.
To go sightseeing 🤓
Plessis-Robinson is a lovely small town in the Hauts-de-Seine located only 10 minutes from the capital 🥐. Before or after the race, you can take out your camera and play the tourist in the streets of Paris between the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe 🗼 .

A word from the organizer:

« For this 11th edition, we are particularly proud to continue supporting the endowment fund of the Marie Lannelongue hospital. This year the funds raised will be used to co-finance equipment to encourage physical activity in children suffering from congenital heart disease. Indeed, physical activity and exercise are associated with a reduction in the risks linked to the disease, an improvement in mental health and a better quality of life. A good reason to take up the challenge with us, don't you think? For the more experienced, La Ronde du Hibou has prepared a big 16 km loop or a 7 km one. For the others, an untimed 1.5 km course, the Course du Cœur, allows everyone to support this charitable cause. The urban and forest route takes small paths and some 1,000 steps through our town. A varied and fun course in the parks awaits you. Get ready to race down beautiful switchback descents but also to climb breathtaking hills and discover magnificent viewpoints, or even rediscover your own town. »

A few more words

A great urban trail of 16 km between the city and the Parisian nature, it's pretty tempting! 🤩 The big start of the race will be given from Place Woking in Le Plessis-Robinson 🏁. The course will allow participants to discover every corner of the city and more 👀. They will cross no fewer than two parks and two woods (no big deal) 😜. In the north of the course there will be the Bois de la Solitude and the Bois de la Garenne, which are two magnificent green spaces among oaks and chestnut trees 🌳. The two parks located further south on the course are: the Parc de la Vallée aux Loups and the Parc Henri Sellier with its panoramic view 😎. Runners will even pass by the Jardin de l'Etang de Colbert and its calm and soothing setting. Runners will cross green spaces for a large part of the race 👟. It's the real recipe for a successful urban trail! 👨‍🍳 The start is at 3:00 PM at Place Woking, where the finish is also located, with a time limit of 2h30 ⏱️. The race is run in semi-self-sufficiency: no aid stations along the way, water is made available only at the finish, so you need to start with at least 50 cL of water 💧.
