Watch out, obstacle ahead! ⚠️
If you think Germany is all about the calm of the gardens of Sanssouci Palace, think again: the Tough Mudder Berlin-Brandenburg is going to show you Brandenburg from an angle... a whole lot wetter 🤣. We’re taking you to Beelitz, right outside Berlin, for an obstacle-clearing festival that would make a Bundeswehr training session look like a casual stroll 🪖. It’s the must-attend event of August for anyone who wants to test their mental strength 😈.
Are you ready to climb, crawl, run, jump, and maybe even scream a little—all while covered in mud? 🟤 The Spargelhof-Klaistow estate, where you’ll be sweating it out, is especially famous for its asparagus 🤓. Who knows—you might even dig some up 🌱. The ultimate obstacle-course challenge is 15 km long and features more than 20 obstacles 👊. With no competition and no timer, you and your teammates will help each other conquer the course 💪. Your reward? The organization’s famous orange headband 🟠. You can also choose the 5 km with its 12 condensed challenges 🤕. One thing is certain: you won’t end the day with white socks 🧦. It’s a bit like Rambo crashing Oktoberfest, but without the outfit (although we’ve seen worse in terms of costumes 🫣). As for the obstacles, the atmosphere is going to be... electric! ⚡️. Get ready to meet mud, vertical walls ⬆, electric-shock obstacles, ice baths 🥶, mud slides, huge hay bales 🌾 or even the "Cage Crawl" 💧. The atmosphere is straight out of an action movie where the hero is you, surrounded by a legion of "Mudders" ready to hoist you to the finish line 🦸♂️. Kids can also get a taste of mud adventure, with courses adapted over 1, 1.5 or 3 km 🤪. Parents, fair warning: don’t scold them if they get their clothes dirty—it’ll be unavoidable 🐷.
After crossing the finish line, the experience switches into party mode 🎉. This is the land of currywurst and cold beer, so expect a memorable third half in the race village 🍻. You’ll be able to compare bruises with your new best buddies and savor that indescribable feeling of having conquered the craziest course in the region 🤪. It’s festive, it’s messy, and that’s exactly why we love it ❤️. If you’ve got the courage to drive for 1 hour, you can discover Berlin and the Reichstag, the East Side Gallery and the Brandenburg Gate 😍.
So, ready to become a Mudder? ⚔️
