Ultra X England
Grab your passport, your best trail clothes, some British Pounds 💷 and head for England 🇬🇧 for the Ultra X England. Meet in the village of Edale, in Derbyshire. Unlikely you'll have time to see Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales 👸, given the schedule ahead. Ultra X England is part of the same organization that hosts Ultra X races worldwide. That's probably why the name sounds familiar ❤️🔥.
This race, set in the heart of the Peak District National Park 🌳, near Manchester, is part of the UTMB World Circuit and brings together trail enthusiasts from around the world! 🌎 The atmosphere is electric, perfect for warming up in this month of September where temperatures range from 8°C to 18°C 🌡️ (remember, you're in England). Although "peak" means "summit" in French, the Peak District National Park is a region of mid-range mountains ⛰️ with breathtaking landscapes. To explore this lush nature, 6 races are available 🤩. You have plenty of options. The longest and thus the toughest is the 110 km with 2,423 mD+ for the first leg and 1,961 mD+ for the second. Two stages to be done in one go or over two days, depending on your shape 💪. Then the distances decrease, but be warned, there's still elevation gain. You can choose the 60 km with 2,423 mD+, the 50 km with 1,961 mD+, or the 25 km with 957 mD+. Finally, if you just want to try trail running without (too much) sweating, the organization offers a 12 km 👌. If you can't decide, know that the 110 km, 50 km, and 25 km are UTMB index races. What's it for? 👀 To try your luck at the draw for the UTMB® World Series Finals. Otherwise, each route will weave through the national park that largely served as the backdrop for the film “Pride and Prejudice” 🎬. You can tell your friends and shine at parties 💃. Not sure it'll make you run faster though. In this splendid nature, very popular with tourists, you'll also discover a fascinating secret world of spectacular caves sculpted over millions of years. Keep your eyes open! 📸
If you're still up for more, continue exploring this nature by bike, horse, or even hiking! 🤠 In the heart of English land, life is good and activities abound! 😜 One thing is certain, you’re not likely to encounter many people: 75% of the population occupies only 25% of the territory, so enjoy the vast English plains! 🏞️
Don’t wait any longer to live a super cool experience ! 😎
