You don't need just a race, you need a challenge worthy of your ambitions! 🕺 For that, there's nothing better than the Ultra X series 👀. Not familiar yet? Well, we'll try not to judge you, but still! Ultra X are ultra-trails spread across the globe 🌍, allowing trail running fans to face massive challenges! 🎆 And on this page, we're ready to introduce you to Ultra X Slovenia. In the heart of Slovenia 🇸🇮, you'll begin your journey in Ljubljana, the capital, with shuttles departing on Friday to take you to Ajdovščina ⛰️.
Plan for a short stay as the event unfolds over two days, from Saturday to Sunday, offering 4 distances of your choice! 🌪️ The longest is a 110 km to be run or walked in one or 2 stages, meaning you'll definitely get your fill! 🔥 Either tackle these kilometers head-on, or on the first day, cover 60 km and 50 km on the second. If you prefer to split 🍐 the distance, you can choose to do one of these distances individually, on Saturday or Sunday. Finally, if you prefer starting with a shorter course, we suggest the 25 km or the 12 km 💆♀️. For the more adventurous, there's even a campsite available 🏕️. With the very mild temperatures of June in Slovenia, it would be a shame not to go! A night under the starry sky feels great every now and then, doesn't it? ⭐️
To give you an idea of the scenery, you'll be in the Julian Alps north of the Adriatic coast 🌄. You'll traverse wild terrains amidst the plateaus of Vipava. The Vipava Valley, is a hidden paradise known for its excellent wines 🍇, perched villages, and Mediterranean atmosphere 🦗. The terrain is playful: sometimes smooth, sometimes technical, with just enough challenge to spice up the race. And after the effort? A glass of local wine and a good Slovenian dish await you 🍷. Honestly, it's hard to dream of a better setting for a trail! Excessive alcohol consumption is harmful to your health, always consume in moderation ⚠️.
If you enjoy the race, we have an extra challenge for you: the European Grand Slam! 🏆 The European Grand Slam prize is awarded to those who finish all three of Ultra X's European events 💪. Among the races, you can find Ultra X Slovenia, Ultra X Finland 🇫🇮, and Ultra X Madeira 🏝️. You can choose any combination of events, but they must all be ultra-distances, meaning Ultra X Finland 25 km does not count for the Grand Slam! 🎽
So adventurer 👣, are you ready to take on a new high-kilometer challenge? 🤠
