The event in a few words

Calling all adventurers and challenge lovers for the month of May: Ultra X Scotland is back to offer you an unrivaled sports and sensory experience 🤩. It is in the striking landscapes of the Highlands, in Scotland 🏴 that this mythical race combines extreme effort, full nature immersion, and a hint of myth thanks to its legendary setting around Loch Ness 🐉. Yes, yes, Loch Ness... We hope you’ll catch a glimpse of Nessie! 🦕

For this made in Scotland program, you have the choice between several distances! ⚡ The largest: Ultra X 110 (110 km over two days, of course) we’re talking about an impressive loop starting from Inverness to Dores, divided into two stages: 60 km on Saturday and 50 km on Sunday👣. You will have to follow the historic paths of the Great Glen Way and the South Loch Ness Trail, winding through the forests and the waterfalls 🌲. An extra with this menu? A sauce? Yes, panoramic view sauce on the lochs 🏞️, with a camping night extra at Fort Augustus to recharge! 🔌 If you haven’t reached the ultra-trail milestone (which we understand), you can opt for the 60 km👌. You will start on Saturday with your 110 km comrades to reach Dores! 🏃‍♂️ We can even shorten it with the 50 km the next day. This race is also the second stage of the ultra-trail. Ideal if you want a condensed but equally intense challenge! 🤯 A crossing of Loch Ness is at stake, but beware of the monster! There is also the 25 km race, which, like the previous one, will start on Sunday from Glender Gite, at Foyers. Although this distance is shorter, it is no less extraordinary! 🥳 And for those who are new to trail running, a 12 km is offered!

Emotions will be present and make you want to come back 🥰. With climbs reaching 699 m 🗻 (Meall Fuar-mhonaidh, the highest point of the race), Ultra X Scotland is as much a test of your endurance as a celebration of your resilience (we're real poets) 🔮. But what’s beautiful about the Ultra X, is that their trails are always very intense, with long distances yet remain accessible to many types of runners 🔥. The time barriers, set every 10 km, are to be passed every 2h30, which gives you a nice margin! 🧨 Little bonus: the races are recognized in the 100K, 50K and 20K categories of the UTMB Index! 🏆

After challenging your limits, take the time to explore the wonders of the region 🏰. Visit the mythical Urquhart Castle on the shores of Loch Ness. Or delve into history with the Culloden battlefield, an emotionally charged site. Want some relaxation after the effort? 🛁 Head to the botanical gardens of Inverness for a relaxing stroll, or have a picnic on the shores of the Moray Firth to watch the dolphins! 🐬

Set off to the lands of the Highlands and prepare for this trail on Harry Potter's lands! 🧙‍♂️
