Grab your passport, your finest trail gear, some Pound Sterling💷 and head to England 🇬🇧 for the Ultra X England. Meet in the village of Edale, in Derbyshire. Not sure you'll have time to bump into Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales 👸, considering the program awaiting you. The Ultra X England is part of a wider organization, offering Ultra X events worldwide. That's probably why the name sounds familiar ❤️🔥.
This race, taking place in the heart of the Peak District National Park 🌳, near Manchester, is part of the UTMB World Circuit and gathers trail enthusiasts from all over the world! 🌎 The ambiance is lively, enough to warm bodies during this September month where temperatures range from 8°C to 18°C 🌡️ (remember, it's England). Although "peak" means “summit” in French, the Peak District National Park is a region of middle mountains ⛰️ with breathtaking landscapes. To explore this lush nature, 6 races are available 🤩. You have plenty of choices. The longest and thus the toughest is the 110 km with 2,423 mD+ for the first part and 1,961 mD+ for the second. Two stages to do in one go or over two days, depending on your fitness level 💪. Then the distances decrease, but beware, there's always elevation gain. You can enter the 60 km with 2,423 mD+, the 50 km with 1,961 mD+, or the 25 km with 957 mD+. Finally, if you just want to discover trail running without (too much) sweating, the organization offers you the option of entering a 12 km👌. If you're undecided and don't know which one to choose, note that the 110 km, 50 km, and 25 km are UTMB index races. What's it for? 👀 To try your luck at the UTMB® World Series Finals draw. Otherwise, each route will traverse the national park that has largely served as the backdrop for the movie “Pride and Prejudice” 🎬. You’ll be able to share this with your friends and shine at parties 💃. Not sure it will help you move faster though. In this splendid nature, popular with tourists, you can also discover a secret and fascinating world of spectacular caves sculpted over millions of years. Keep your eyes wide open! 📸
If you still have some energy, keep exploring this nature by bike, on horseback, or even hiking! 🤠 In the heart of the English lands, life is good, and activities abound! 😜 One thing is certain, you're unlikely to encounter many people: 75% of the population occupies only 25% of the territory, so the vast plains of England are all yours! 🏞️
Don't wait any longer to experience a super cool adventure! 😎
The one-shot version of the flagship race of 110 km! This is the event to test yourself if you are a determined runner seeking a challenge 🏔️.
With its 4,388 mD+, it won't be a ultra-trail to take lightly 😮💨.
To better distribute your effort and more easily absorb the kilometers, we recommend this version of the course 😅. Spread over two days, the hills and long straight lines will probably seem easier to suffer through 😬.
And if you want time to pass even faster, enjoy the view, and let your gaze wander through the surrounding landscapes 🤩.
