The event in a few words

In the Ultra X family, I would like Tanzania! 🃏 Another ultra-trail accessible for all runners seeking unique adventures 💫.

This time we're heading to Tanzania 🇹🇿 in the city of Moshi, the land of the big five! Yes, this East African country is overflowing with a rich variety of flora and fauna 🏞️. Among them are the king of the savannah, the lion 🦁, the rhinoceros 🦏, the elephant 🐘, the African buffalo 🐃, and the leopard! 🐆 Impressive, right? Well, you're not coming for a safari, but it's almost the same thing, so here's the program: 5 days of racing, between 30 and 58 km! 🥵 Indeed, it's hefty. The race is recognized in the UTMB 100K category index 💪. No worries, you can adopt the pace you want, the checkpoints are located every 10 km 📍 and you have 2.5 to 3 hours to cover them, so you can run at a very relaxed pace 🤙. We recommend arriving before Saturday to be in top shape! On Sunday, the briefing will take place at 9 am and all participants must be present! 🙌 Then, transport will take you to the Namalok Nature Reserve 🌾 where you will take the first start of this totally crazy ultra-trail! 🤪 This reserve is protected from all sorts of illegal activities like poaching or the cutting down of certain trees.

The real highlight of the race is the trails on the famous Mount Kilimanjaro! 🗻 In other words, one of the highest mountains in the world. The stages will also pass through less difficult sections, such as in the forest 🌳, near lakes, or even in the savannah! 🦴 We can already see you bounding like an antelope! 🦌 At the end of each day, a campsite awaits you so you can recover before the next day. These campsites are chosen to highlight the local wonders! On-site, you can enjoy osteopathic care and physiotherapy if needed or to help you recover! 🔥 On the last day, when you've conquered the last km, you'll be able to enjoy a great BBQ (well-deserved) and activities that will accompany the prize ceremony! 🏅

So, are you ready for Tanzania? 😎

5 reasons to join this race

An extraordinary experience 🤯
It's not every Monday of the month that you fly to Tanzania! 🇹🇿 It's a country where the scenery is stunning and it's especially an ideal place for an ultra-trail! Plus, the organization is meticulous to ensure everything goes smoothly during your stay. Every journey is anticipated, as are the campsites and meals. It's a bit like a vacation with a real challenge at the end! ⭐
Run an accessible ultra-trail! 🎽
At first glance, ultra-trails may seem inaccessible and reserved for top-level trail runners 🗺️. But the Ultra X organization offers challenges over long distances for all levels. No need to feel pressured, you don't have to be a running star for this challenge ⏱️.
UTMB Index 🏅
Ultra X Tanzania is recognized in the 100K category of the UTMB Index. If the famous race perched in Haute-Savoie interests you, then go for it! 🥉
The Ultra X 🏆
If you enjoyed the race, you can always participate in other events offered by the organization 🎬. Under the same conditions, you can go to: Ultra X Morocco, Ultra X Rwanda, Ultra X Scotland, Ultra X Finland, Ultra X Slovenia as well as 6 other races! Isn't that like Christmas come early! 🏃‍♀️
Mount Kilimanjaro 🗻
As you already know, part of the race takes place on the famous summit of Kilimanjaro! 🤩 Of course, it's not about completing the entire ascent, that would be far too difficult, but some sections will be on the lower parts of the mountain! 😎
