The event in a few words

Imagine a bit... 😴

Imagine yourself treading the majestic streets of one of the most beautiful capitals of the world 🌍 and thus living two passions, travel and running! 😍 Well, today, this is what’s offered with the 10 km of Rome 🇮🇹, a race that takes place on the last day of the year. The We Run Rome offers two formats to its competitors, with a timed race and two non-timed ones. Frankly, isn’t it perfect for enjoying the wonders of this incredible capital? 🤭

The organizers of this race have managed to carve out a course in the heart of Rome. The race originates in the Testaccio district, right next to Trastevere, known to all travelers who have passed through the eternal city. To you an uncountable number of emblematic places and exceptional monuments ⭐️ that make up the prestige of the Italian capital 🌆. You will notably pass near the Colosseum and along the ancient ruins of the Forum... 🏛️

At the end of your race, you can go explore the West of the city. Indeed, emblematic places such as the Pantheon or the Vatican 🇻🇦 are not on the course map 🗺️. You can dedicate your January 1st to discovering the city of 7 hills. But prefer to get away from city life a bit? Spend a few hours in the Villa Pamphilj Park, in the Monteverde district where Pier Paolo Pasolini, the committed filmmaker, lived 🎥. The number of pictorial treasures is incredible, and you might stumble upon a Caravaggio painting in a church spontaneously... 😍 Do you want to leave Rome and explore the region a little? Go go go! 🔫 Less than an hour's drive away, you can visit Tivoli with its famous Villa d'Este and Villa Adriana, or the magnificent Gardens of Ninfa 🌸.

A few more words

We warn you: you are going to be completely thrown into the atmosphere 🥳.

The start of the two races, 5 km and 10 km, will take place at the same location, near the Baths of Caracalla, at the Stadio Nando Martellini 🏟️, just a few steps from the Colosseum and the Circus Maximus. Competitors in both races have the same course, therefore doubled for the 10 km runners.

Some runners will have chosen the timed race ⏱️, others the non-timed ❌. Some will watch their watch, others the suggestive scenery! Throughout the course, you'll tread on the ancient chariot track, the side of the Colosseum, the beauties of the Villa Borghese Park, the Piazza Venezia... 😍
