Welcome aboard the Wizz Air Line Skopje Marathon 🧑✈️. You're embarking for North Macedonia 🇲🇰, and more specifically Skopje! 🛫 It's on Balkan soil, at the Adriatic Sea peninsula 🌊, where this national meet takes place! The Wizz Air Skopje Marathon is a well-known sporting celebration where the opportunity to fill your legs with a mishmash of kilometers 🦵🥗 presents itself every year for runners from all backgrounds! Between its marathon (solo or in relay), its half, and its 5 km, the event welcomes nearly 8,000 participants each year 👏. In 2017, the Luik sisters, Estonian Olympians 🏅, even participated in the charity 5 km! 🫶

With its in-town and very smooth course, the race is naturally inclined for records! ⚡️ Speaking of the course, you'll cross the famous Macedonia Square, the Stone Bridge 🪨, and the renowned Ilinden boulevards and Yané Sandanski 🏙️. Skopje is a city rich in its Ottoman and Byzantine architecture 🕌. With its historic districts, bridges, contemporary art museums, and the Matka Canyon 🏞️, Skopje is a capital as vibrant as its inhabitants! 👯
If you have a little time after your race 🏃♂️, the Contemporary Art Museum of Skopje will feed your mind 😌. Stroll around the Old Bazaar - Stara Carsija, this cosmopolitan and multi-ethnic place, 7 centuries old! 🤓 There, discover an oriental atmosphere with the Ottoman houses, mosques, and small shops 🥰. You'll also find many charming artisanal shops to bring back souvenirs... In addition to your finisher medal! 🏅

On Sunday morning, generally at 8 AM for the marathon, with the half-marathon and 5 km starting shortly after. All start from the city center, near Macedonia Square.
It is mandatory, declared during registration. Participants must certify they are fit to run the chosen distance.
