Color Run: Every kilometer becomes an explosion of colors

If you are fond of fun runs, where fun takes precedence over ranking, Color Run races are perfect for you! Over a distance of 5 km, get ready to see life in pink... in blue... in green... in yellow...

An event full of color! 🎨

If there is one theme that everyone agrees on, it's this one! 😎 Much more than just a race, Color Runs are moments of camaraderie, fun but above all, charity! 🫶 The principle is simple. A 5 km run, where you start all dressed in white 🤍 (it's better, but we hope you have a good detergent...), at each kilometer mark, volunteers will shower you with rainbows... 🌈 Well, not really! To be precise, they will throw cornstarch-based colored powders at you, non-toxic 🌽 (we wouldn't recommend eating it for breakfast either)! Kilometer after kilometer 💙, you and the others 🧡 will be covered 💚 in all sorts of colors! 💛 Of course, it doesn’t stop there, at the finish many festivities await you! 💃 Dance Fitness, photo booths 📸, sports coaching 🏋️‍♀️ or even a brass band 🎺 or a DJ set! 💽 Don't forget the cloud of colors in which you'll be thrilled! ⛅ To add even more (so no one can recognize each other) don't forget to take part in the group color throw! 🎆 You can take your best photo, making your friends jealous! 😉

International origins! 🌏

You can imagine that this is a concept that works! 🎽 To give you an idea of the scale of color, let us tell you a bit about its history 📰. In 2012, the Color Run was created in the United States 🗽, with the first edition taking place in January, in Phoenix in Arizona! 🗺️ Yes, those Americans are great at coming up with good ideas! ☀️ But this one didn't come from them 100%, that would be too easy! 🫵 In truth, they had a few sources of inspiration before imagining this competition format. The first; the Indian and Hindu Holi celebrations! 🇮🇳 These traditional Hindu festivals where people throw colored powder to celebrate the arrival of spring and unity among people 💐. The joyful and colorful aspect of the Color Run comes directly from this tradition 🫂. The second: Charity runs and fun runs. In the 2000s, the United States saw the rise of non-competitive runs aimed at fundraising or simply promoting health and physical activity in a fun way! 💪 Thanks to this beautiful mix, the Color Runs were born! 👏

A concept that captures the hearts of people 🫀

Since its creation in 2012, the Color Runs continue to appeal to runners! 🤩 Already in 2013, more than 100 events were organized in the USA 🇺🇲, gathering over a million people! Imagine what it's like now! To give you a hint, we can simply tell you that in 2020 it took place in more than 40 countries, and over 200 cities 💥, not to mention the more than 8 million people who participated! In large French cities like Paris, the Color Run attracts several thousand participants, with peaks of almost 20,000 runners during major editions! 🎊 Impressive, isn't it?
