The Seville Half Marathon (Medio Maratón de Sevilla by its real name) is a caliente date to mark in your race calendar in Spain 🇪🇸. Over 21.097 km, you’ll be able to enjoy the charm of the Andalusian capital ⭐, which has preserved many buildings from the Al-Andalus era. We can tell you’ve got a bit of an itch to take part in a half marathon! 😎 So for you, the best would be to come to the Seville Half Marathon! Why? It’s very simple: this half is known for being really pleasant, the course is flat and very fast 💨. In 2025, Ugandan Rebecca Chelangat broke the women’s record, finishing the race in 1:07:18 🏆, and Kenyan Vinicent Nyamongo Nyageo went under the hour with a time of 59:33! ⏱️ So sure, not everyone will run that fast, but you can already consider beating your own record! 💪 Not enough for you? The course will take you through all the coolest corners of the city 🏃♀️, and the cherry on top 🍒: all along the event, entertainment is set up so that as many supporters as possible can cheer you on! 🗣️ And as you probably already know, Spaniards are pretty fired up when it comes to bringing the atmosphere… Still, you’ll have to stay a bit focused: you’ve got 21 km to cover, and temperatures will be cool enough to make your race enjoyable 🧖♂️. But don’t forget to bring gear suited to the weather conditions awaiting you, since the event takes place at the end of November 👟.
What’s handy is that during your stay 🎟️, you’ll be able to enjoy the many wonders the city has to offer. Here’s a little special Finishers selection that’s sure to delight you there! 🤗 Strolling through the streets of Seville, you can start with the most iconic spots, the Plaza de España ⛲. This spectacular large square, surrounded by water, will offer dance shows, music 🎷, traditional singing 🎙️, all in a wonderfully local, change-of-scenery atmosphere 🗺️. Then you could head over to the Seville Cathedral ⛪; it succeeds the former 12th-century Great Mosque 🕌 and houses the remains of Christopher Columbus 🤠. It will be an opportunity to take a stroll in the Santa Cruz neighborhood 👣, in the historic center of Seville 📚, where you’ll find 12th-century buildings, with their azulejos, and the scent of orange blossoms that tickles your nostrils 🍊. Then you can continue your visit to the Casa de Pilatos, an old aristocratic palace 🏛️ that features many Greek and Roman statues. If you want a bit of nature, you can also wander through the Maria Luisa Park; this true gem of tranquility is ideal if you want to unwind after the race. Spanish markets are also a must—just look at the Mercado Lonja Del Barranco 🌯: with 20 stalls offering traditional tapas, a real post-meal stroll is in store! 🍅 To end your day beautifully, all that’s left is to go and admire a flamenco demonstration, to soak up even more of Spain’s magnificent culture 💃.
