The event in a few words

Another race falls on your calendar 📅: The Harmonie Mutuelle Urban Trail of Amiens! Yes, the city is organizing a new edition of its trail untimed! ⏱️ The event is simple and consists of a distance of 10 km to be done either running 🐇 or walking 🐢. You have plenty of choices!

Oh Amiens! Capital of Picardy, how can one not fall under the charm of the North, when it houses such cities! 🤩 A region that delights in organizing, once again this year, a famous running event in the region: the Urban Trail of Amiens! For the occasion, they have decided to create a race that brings everyone together: seasoned runners, amateurs, walkers! Please note ⚠️, it's important to remember that the winter temperatures remain icy ❄️ (maybe that's to better preserve the beauty of the place, who knows? 🥰). So don't forget your essential gear: turtleneck / jacket / hat / gloves! 🧤 You need to stay in shape for the race, but also to visit the city afterward! Just because the atmosphere is going to be hot doesn't mean you should start taking off clothes! 😜

The course, for its part, will remain secret until further notice 🤫, although you will find some clues in our race descriptions 👀. Knowing the success of Amiens' setting, you’re not likely to be disappointed. Speaking of which, do you know what there is to discover there? "The Little Venice of the North" 🛶 has nothing to envy other French cities 😌. It outshines everyone else with its must-see heritage, highly praised by UNESCO 🌎: the "City of Art and History" label has been rewarding Amiens since 1992 for highlighting its heritage 🏅. Featured: the magnificent Notre-Dame Cathedral ⛪, its sculpted decor, its grand stained glass windows... In short, a perfect representation of Gothic art! With its 112 m height, it is the largest medieval cathedral in the world! 😲 Its volume is twice as large as Notre-Dame de Paris. We can already sense the Parisians' jealousy after reading this text! 😬 But come! It's time to come see the northern wonders 🤝.

Moreover, it's not the only gem in the city! 💎 Its neighborhoods are also highly reputed 🏘️, notably because they are divided by numerous canals 🌊. The rustic charm of Amiens knows how to win the hearts of its visitors ❤️. The Saint-Leu district is also one of the most famous places. Born in the Middle Ages, it is now "the place to be" to have a drink 🍹 on the terrace and enjoy the atypical atmosphere ✨. Take the opportunity to check out Place du Don, where the "gable houses", the oldest in the city, are built 🌆.

Ultimately, it's kind of the ideal place to sign up for a new challenge! That's why we feel you'll be at the Harmonie Mutuelle Urban Trail of Amiens! 😍

"Take me to the end of my dreams, take me to the wonderland" 🎶

4 reasons to join this race

A SURPRISE course 🎉
No, no secrets will be revealed today! The Urban Trail of Amiens has everything planned, and for now, it must remain a surprise! 🎁 The 10 km distance can be covered in a fun way or in a sporty way, but in any case, the course remains a mystery 💭. Let yourself go on an escapade that will surely lead you to meet exceptional places! Given the rich cultural reputation of the city, it’s not to be missed! 😉
A heritage no. 1️⃣
The city of Amiens is known for being full of historical beauties. It has a wide range of UNESCO World Heritage inscriptions. In fact, it is the first French city to have so many! If you are looking for cultural discoveries, you will be served! We obviously recommend admiring during your visit the splendid Notre-Dame Cathedral (and yes, there is not only one in Paris 😛), a gem of Gothic art. During your visits, you will also be amazed by the picturesque neighborhoods and the many canals that run through the city 🌟. What more could you ask for? 🤷‍♀️
The Little Venice of the North 🛶
How can we talk about Amiens without mentioning its famous 300-hectare floating gardens? 🌿 The hortillonnages that make up these gardens have earned it the nickname "Little Venice of the North.” This former agricultural land was used to cultivate leeks, cabbages 🥬, and carrots 🥕. The few Amiens residents who continue to cultivate this land sell their produce every Saturday in the Saint-Leu district. You can also enjoy a boat ride through the waterways. Not bad for relaxing after the race! 😎
An atmosphere on the agenda 🎷
And yes, the North also knows how to provide a warm atmosphere for its guests! 💝 For the occasion, there will be 6 music groups accompanying you with music along the course 🎶. If you are more of a walker than a runner, we want to see you showing off your best dance moves and setting the track on fire! 🕺

Message from the organizer:

"Whatever your age, come discover the beauty of Amiens’ sites differently, by walking or running in a festive atmosphere, through an event open to everyone, with family, friends or company colleagues"

A few more words

Get ready for the mythical distance of 10 km! 🤩 This year, the start (which is also the finish, so you won't get lost) will be at the Apradis site, surrounded by the famous landmarks of the Stade de la Licorne, the very modern Mégacité, and the city's iconic Zénith 🎫.

As in previous editions, you will pass through the most grandiose and unique sites of the little Venice of the North. The Zoo of Amiens Metropolis, the Hotel of the Feuillants, the Coliseum Ice Rink, an EHPAD and many other places open their doors for a festive and friendly experience 🥳. Plus, the race is not timed, so no stress about finish times 😮‍💨.
