The event in a few words

Looking for a new challenge to conquer, feeling the itch to travel again? 🧳 We're taking you to the Lausanne Marathon in Switzerland! 🇨🇭 Nestled in the stunning Canton of Vaud, this major city by the shores of Lake Geneva 👒 boasts an exceptional urban course lined with iconic landmarks 👌. Indeed, Lausanne is a must-visit in this beautiful Swiss region. But before we delve deeper into that, let's introduce you to the race formats ✍️. The event offers several formats to allow as many people as possible to participate 👏: 10km walking, Nordic walking, or road running along with half-marathon and marathon distances 🏃‍♂️. Impressive, right? It's quite rare to find a city race that combines exceptional monuments with lakeside views 💎. Did you know? Lake Geneva, shared between France 🇫🇷 and Switzerland, is the largest lake in the Alps 🤩.

And after the race? As a French-speaking city, Lausanne has so much to offer you and your loved ones! For example, you can enjoy the panoramic view from the Sauvabelin Tower 😎, dive into the history of sports at the Olympic Museum 🤼‍♂️, or relax with your family by Lake Geneva with a well-deserved picnic 🥪. If you're interested in artistic culture, don't miss a visit to the Museum of Art Brut 🎨. And for a moment of natural beauty and tranquility, what's better than a peaceful stroll in the city's Botanical Garden 🪴? Home to nearly 4000 alpine, medicinal, carnivorous, and tropical plants 🌷.

Lausanne is also famed for hosting the headquarters of the International Olympic Committee, as well as the Olympic Museum. But the old town, with its medieval streets lined with shops and a richly decorated 12th-century Gothic cathedral, will also captivate you 👀. It's perched above the city, just a short distance from the Lake 🏊‍♀️. The 19th-century Palais de Rumine houses the fine arts and science museums ⚖️. Around Lausanne, you can also have fun, whether you choose one of the country's other three cities, namely Geneva, Berne, or Zurich, or if you spend time in the Swiss Jura 🧀. Mountain enthusiasts ⛰️ are of course invited to explore Switzerland, in summer ☀️ and winter ❄️ alike. Skiing and hiking 🥾 are national sports. Who knows? Maybe one day you'll cross paths with Marco Odermatt on the slopes! ⛷️

So, ready to experience something extraordinary in the stunning setting of Lausanne? 🕺 We'll see you at the Lausanne Marathon then! You can be sure that the race won't be your only record, the unforgettable experience you're going to have, will be too! 🏅
