You’re going to be at the top of your game! 🔝 Get ready to have your breath taken away by the Jura Massif, this mountain range on the French-Swiss border that will keep on surprising you during your trail 🏃. Tucked away high up among what are considered some of the most beautiful peaks in France, you’ll see what nature has to offer at its very best 🤩. The race takes place in June, so you can ditch the shirt down jacket and enjoy the sunshine of the Transju'Trails! 🌞 By the way, maybe that name rings a bell? 🤔 Indeed, you probably know the legendary Transjurassienne, this cross-country ski race ⛷️ that generally takes place in February! This historic event has brought together more than 4,500 skiers from all over the world since 1979 🤯. Well, Transju'Trails is its summer version ⛱️: put your skis away 🚪, lace up your sneakers and head out to conquer some peaks! ⛰️
Before a triumphant finish in the resort of Les Rousses, you’ll have to take on one of the 8 legendary routes 🤩. To race the clock ⏱️, you’ll need to tackle 5, 10, 15, 25, 42, 62, 82 km or even 110 km for the last one! 📈 But as they say, you don’t get anything for nothing, so you have to suffer a bit to triumph ! 🏆 Your greatest rewards will be along the way, with the grand mountain landscapes of the Jura 📍 as your backdrop. This trail is one of the biggest in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté! The 62, 82 and 110 km races are the fantasy of the most seasoned athletes 🤓 who love physical challenges and dream of qualifying for the UTMB. Suffice it to say the field is as stacked as the course is tough ! 😅 But those aren’t the only arguments to convince you to toe the line 😌. Yes, this mythical race has more than one trick up its sleeve! 😉 And this year, the event is innovating: the 82 km can be run as a relay team of 2 or 4! 🧑🤝🧑 Most of the routes will take you into Switzerland and through the iconic villages of the Transjurassienne 🏘️. Bois d'Amont, Chapelle-des-Bois, Bellefontaine and Prémanon will certainly be the sections where the atmosphere won’t be lacking! 🎉 Enough to give you a motivation boost during your race 🤪. And by the way, if running doesn’t appeal to you, a 15 km hike is also organized! 🥾 And if your children are future trail-running seeds, don’t worry, they’ll have their events too 😎.
The surrounding scenery featuring the Monts du Jura, Mont Blanc and the Alps massif will ensure you go home with wonderful memories ✨. You’ll discover iconic places such as Noirmont, Creux du Croue, Roche Champion 🪨, Roche Fendue, Dôle or the Col de Porte, in Switzerland, which will offer you an unobstructed view over the entire massif 😍. You’ll also have the chance to pass by various lakes in the Jura 🏞️: Lac des Rousses, views of Lake Geneva, Lac des Mortes… You’d almost go for a dip between two strides! 🥵 Between a few single tracks and sections on local forest paths 🌲, enjoy a break in one of the iconic and historic villages of the Transjurassienne to learn a little more about the history of the legendary Comtoise clock 🕰️.Still feel like climbing? 🧗 Reach the summit of La Dôle for optimal meditation 🧘 before tackling passages towards the Morez viaduct 🌉 or the Fort des Rousses. You can even enjoy the spray of the Bief de la Chaille, a truly grand waterfall 💦. When you finish, it’ll be time to enjoy local gastronomy 🤤. Of course, when you say Jura, you say cheese: Morbier, Comté, or Mont d'Or (the vacherin from the Haut-Doubs), you definitely wouldn’t want to grate that away! 😜
Transju'Trails puts your legs in a trance, but above all: it trans'forms you! 🤗
Get your thighs ready—the 110 km Ultra of the Transju’Trails is going to shake you up! 💥 With more than 4,300 mD+ in the tank, it’s the big one waiting for you between Champagnole and Les Rousses 🌲.
Water will be your guiding thread right from the start: you’ll weave between the mysterious losses of the Ain and crank out the watts in the spectacular Langouette gorges 🌊. No time to dawdle—the course takes you straight to Foncine-le-Haut then Chaux-Neuve 🏔️. That’s where it stings: you’ll have to grind up the legendary ski-jump ramp ⛷️. Fire the engine back up, because you roll straight into the dense Jura forests and the famous Combe des Cives, the temple of the Transjurassienne ❄️. Then you join the buddies from the other formats at Chapelle-des-Bois 🧭. A hard push at Morbier, a snappy restart at Prémanon, and you’re finally ready to savor your triumphant finish right in the heart of Les Rousses 🏁. A pure cocktail of technical bursts and forest singletrack to test your mental game! 😈
Are you heading off on the 82 km adventure with its 3,600 mD+? 😎 Let’s go!
Starting from Les Rousses, you’ll head towards Switzerland and climb from the very first kilometers via Le Noirmont, before descending to the Creux du Croue to arrive at Bois-d'Amont, first aid station at km 15! You’ll cross the border again and head towards Roche du Creux and then return to France at km 28 via the Risoux Forest and reach the Bellefontaine lakes area 🏞️. You’ll push on to the village of Morez, where you’ll arrive at the halfway point! 🤓 After regaining your strength, you’ll head to Prémanon via Les Arcets. You’ll tackle the last 20 kilometers—hang on, it’s going to climb! 📈 You’ll head back into Swiss lands, running through the villages of Les Dappes and Le Balancier to cross the border one last time and reach the much-coveted finish line! 🤩
This race too is highly sought-after, so hurry to grab your bib, because there are only 200! 😬
Here, the same route as the classic 82 km! However, you will take part in the event as a relay team of 2 or 4 🧑🤝🧑.
The new 62 km and 2,600 mD+ race is catching your eye? 👀 We’re taking you along the route! 💪
You’ll start from the village of Les Rousses and run toward the Swiss border and Noirmont. You’ll follow the border to the ridgelines of Noirmont before descending into the famous Creux du Croue, then reaching the 1st aid station in the village of Bois-d’Amont 🍽️. Back on French soil, you’ll arrive in Chapelle-des-Bois at km 28 and descend to the town of Morez, where you’ll have only 20 km left to go 😉. You’ll have to hang on because it’s going to climb! 📈 You’ll pass through Les Arcets, Prémanon and Pont Perroud, before crossing the finish line in Les Rousses 🤓.
Don’t wait to get your bib! Only 200 spots are available for this race 😬.
You want to run the distance of a marathon, but with a little extra challenge? The 2 000 mD+ of this race might just convince you! 😉
This course won’t be a loop, but rather a true point-to-point! You’ll start in Morez and then climb up to Prémanon, where the 25 km runners will welcome you as you pass 👏. At km 17, you’ll be practically at the halfway point and will head toward the Swiss border and the Dôle ⛰️. You’ll then climb back up toward km 33 to the aid station at the foot of the Balancier slopes 🏘️. After crossing back into French territory, you’ll dash to cross the finish line in the village of Les Rousses 🤓.
The trail of 25 km appeals to you, but you’d like to know more about the route? Don’t stop reading! 😉
You’ll be doing a point-to-point linking Prémanon to Les Rousses, passing through Switzerland too! With a fairly flat, fast-rolling start, you’ll head toward the Dappes aid station at km 9, making your way along the resort’s ski trails 🎿. You’ll need to regain your strength because it’s going to climb! 📈 You’ll take on the elevation gain of La Dôle—you’ll have to hang on tight 😬. You’ll be halfway through, and it’ll be time to head back up toward Les Rousses to cross your finish line 🏁.
Is this your first trail or are you looking to beat your record? ⏱️ Set off at the start of this incredible 15 km! 🤩
You'll start at the foot of the slopes of the Balancier and then complete a loop at the summit of La Dôle, in the Jura massif in Switzerland! You'll take on the much-dreaded climb of the Tuffes alpine ski slope! 🤯 After regaining your strength at the refreshment station at Le Balancier 🍽️, you'll head towards Les Rousses ! That's where you'll cross your finish line 🏁. You can give it everything you've got on this final stretch! 💪
The trail of 10 km has only 200 mD+! Even if you're new to the sport, this route will suit you! 😉
Starting from Les Rousses, you'll set off on a loop through the heart of the village 🏘️ before heading towards the Fort des Rousses at km 3📍. You'll go around the fort to reach the Bief de La Chaille, a magnificent waterfall! 💦 However, it's from this point, at km 7, that the race will get tougher, because that's where you'll rack up the most elevation gain 😬. We're counting on you to give it your all and cross the finish line in Les Rousses with a smile! 😁
