The event in a few words

A slice of Salzburger Nockerln at the snack station? Bless you! 🤧 The 22nd edition of the PUMA Salzburg Marathon welcomes you in the picturesque and captivating setting of the city of Mozart, in Austria 🇦🇹. May there is rather mild and pleasant... 🌼 An ideal setting to run through the cobbled streets of the beautiful Austrian city, or to optimize your chances of a personal best! 💪 Yes, the event offers several distances besides the marathon: a half, a 10 km, a relay marathon for 4, a women's race (reserved for women 🚺), a 7km (the breakfast run) available in 5 different courses, a junior marathon 👶 and even an inclusive race! So, you have no excuses not to join, as there is something for every level! 😜 And as Mozart would say: "Just as many as necessary, Majesty"!

Whether you are an experienced runner or an amateur looking for new experiences, this marathon called "Running Festival of the City of Mozart", has everything to charm you 🫶. This race, considered as one of the flattest in the world 🌍 with its maximum elevation reaching only 9 meters, combines both legendary challenge and cultural history at each kilometer 🏃‍♂️. Imagine running through the historic streets of Salzburg, in this city nestled between the Alps and the Salzach River 🏞️, and finishing your race in front of the famous Grand Festival Hall. The course will reveal breathtaking panoramas, blending baroque architecture ✨ of the city with the serenity of the surrounding nature 🍃. But if the beauty of this city rivals Mozart's greatest masterpieces 🎻, the Salzburgers are also fond of good causes 💚. Indeed, the event aims to be sustainable! Public transport tickets are free during the event 🎟️, your goodies will come in an eco-friendly bag and the food provided at refreshment points is organically sourced! 👩‍🌾 Austrians truly earn their eco-friendly reputation! 🙂‍↕️

And that's not all! After crossing the finish line 🏁, take time to discover the wonders of Salzburg and its surroundings ✨. Visit the Hohensalzburg Fortress, one of the largest in Europe, or delve into the musical world of Mozart by exploring his birthplace 🎻. Fancy a sweet treat? The Mozartkugeln (Mozart balls in Austrian), are perfectly round chocolates made with pistachio, marzipan, and praline 🍫. A delight that will awaken your taste buds! 😋 On the garden side, the lakes of Wolfgangsee and Fuschlsee, less than an hour's drive from the city of Salzburg, offer idyllic landscapes for you to relax by the water 🚤. To cap off your stay beautifully, don't miss the Mirabell Gardens and the Hellbrunn Palace known for their playful fountains 🌷. A true feast for the eyes and spirit! 🤩

So, are you ready to take on the challenge and have an unforgettable adventure at the Salzburg Marathon? 🏃‍♂️
