Tokyo thinks big, and so do you! 🇯🇵 We're taking on one of the six World Marathon Majors. Prepare your steely mindset; we're heading to run in the Land of the Rising Sun.
This Japanese city is the adventure of a lifetime 🌸. Head to the Kantō region for a total immersion in Japan's capital. The event offers two formats in a single day: the legendary 42.195 km Marathon and a 10.7 km. Organized in early March, this meeting gathers more than 38,000 runners to pound the Japanese pavement 🌏.
The course is a lesson in history and modernity. You will start in front of the Metropolitan Government Building in Shinjuku for a fast-paced urban course 🏙️. Did you know that the city was rebuilt after the 1923 earthquake and the bombings of 1945? Running here is like traversing a resilience made of steel and neon lights. You'll pass through the chic district of Ginza and by the Senso-ji temple finishing in front of Tokyo Station on Gyoko-dori Avenue⛩️.
The atmosphere reflects the country: a meticulous organization and incredible enthusiasm 🥁. No less than 10,000 volunteers, the "TEAM SMILE", take great care of you. The streets are packed with people, supported by the sounds of taiko drums that pace your strides. It's clean, organized, and the welcome is exceptionally polite 💛.
Once you cross the finish line, enjoy the megalopolis. We recommend the Tsukiji Fish Market or a stroll in Ueno Park 🌳. As for specialties, don't leave without trying a comforting bowl of ramen or some ultra-fresh sushi. That's also part of the Japanese experience!
A next-gen platform helping sports enthusiasts of all levels discover territories and heritage through races tailored to them.
