Bouduuuu, you won't be bored in the Pink City! 💗. If you're keen to head down to Occitanie, know already that Toulouse is an ideal spot for all running enthusiasts 🥰. Its calm and soothing bays see runners passing by, music in their ears, at the peak of their fitness 🎶. In mid-November, the Toulouse Métropole Run Experience returns to bring you back to life 🌈. Running along the Garonne will be akin to taking a walk in the park (or not 😅). You'll see; there's a life-size visit awaiting you, whether on the 10 km 🔥, the half-marathon 🧨, the marathon 🎇 or the relay marathon 🤝. Kids' races are also scheduled to reveal tomorrow's talents 💪.
It's a weekend full of emotions that awaits you, making it a whole experience 🤩. The race village and its activities, of course, but with a little Playground touch, which is none other than the organizer of the race. Indeed, their events aim to be truly responsible, with the lowest ecological impact possible and a strong contribution to the area by offering local products ♻️.
This edition will notably include the famous piste des géants 😎. It celebrates the great aeronautical destiny of Toulouse, so it will be perfect to make you take off like a jet plane! ✈️ Now, the track is a urban artery in a district where innovation flows in the streets like water in the springs 💧. Another tick on your checklist during your stay ✅. It reminds us that you shouldn't miss the streets of Old Toulouse 🤓. Oh yes, otherwise, you won't fully enjoy your trip 💥. Imagine moving through these narrow streets, where every turn seems to lead you to a beautiful adventure 🗺️, or at least to a bakery offering irresistible croissants! 🥐 Moreover, it will be real training! 😬 The streets are quite the calf gymnastics, with their uneven cobbles challenging even the highest heels! 👠 It's like a dance with the past, where each step brings you closer to discovering a hidden café or an antique shop filled with treasures (or dusty trinkets, depending on your luck 😅).
"À m’en donné" all the criteria are met for you to participate in the Toulouse Métropole Run 🤗. Just because they say chocolatine instead of pain au chocolat doesn't mean we don't trust them to organize such a sporting event! 😂 On the contrary 😉.
Get a race bib and come see life in pink for the duration of a race! 💕
Thinking you might have bitten off more than you can chew with 42 km? Welcome to the "Marathon of Giants"!
For thrill-seekers, nothing is ever too big! 😉 With all these landmarks, the Pink City is set to give you an extraordinary experience filled with wonder, awe, and a bit of a struggle at the 30 km mark 😅. But let's start at the beginning... or rather the first few kilometers! Jardin des Plantes, Toulouse Museum, Île du Ramier, R. Poujade Footbridge... 🌉 All this in just 5 km, enough to convince you to stick around until the end! And it's worth it because after a long straight stretch to the Oncopole, you'll cross the A. Conti Footbridge and weave through streets to the Piste des Géants 🤯. No need to flee from them 💨, but you can definitely speed up on a straight path of over 7 km! Also, the Cité de l'Espace will make you want to blast off 🚀. At the 30 km mark, you'll discover the Parc de la Maourine, a nice distraction from the infamous "wall at 30 km" 🦆. Yes, it's just a myth (much like the giants)! 🤪
To end on a high note, you'll cross the Pont Neuf and pass in front of the Capitole for a grand finish 👟 on Boulevard d'Arcole! 🏁
The relay marathon follows the same course as the marathon! 🤓 The relay points are organized as follows:
You might be familiar with the French expression "Pompon sur la Garonne," but now it's got a fresh twist! 🤓
This half-marathon certainly deserves it! Right after you start, you'll get to enjoy sights like the Jardin des Plantes, the Musée de la Ville Rose, and the Île du Ramier within the first 5 km. Crossing to the other bank via the R.Poujade Footbridge 🌉, you'll embark on a long straight path towards the Oncopole. A detour will bring you back to the Île du Ramier once more (you'll love it! 😍). Finally, you'll head towards the finish line on Boulevard d'Arcole, cheered on by enthusiastic supporters! 👏
Are you interested in a flat course sprinkled with landmarks? 🤔 Then get ready for the "10 km du Capitole" as part of the Toulouse Métropole Run Experience!
Right from the first kilometer, you can admire the Jardin des Plantes and the Museum of Toulouse around a bend 🖼️. You'll then head to the Île du Ramier and cross the R. Poujade Footbridge 🌉. You'll already be halfway through! Indeed, the kilometers fly by when the scenery is beautiful! After passing by the Jardin Raymond VI, it will soon be time to cross the finish line on Boulevard d'Arcole! 🏁
