Let's go for another round

Drôme is calling you, and it's no joke! Come and take up the challenge at the Trail de la Tour in Anneyron, this race invites you to tackle a great sporting challenge in a beautiful natural setting. Two courses are offered: 9 km for a gentle start and 17 km with 600 m of positive elevation for the more adventurous. On the program, you'll run through woods and hills, enjoy breathtaking panoramas and discover historical sites like the Tower of Albon. The late afternoon starts promise a friendly atmosphere, with refreshments and good humor ☀️.

It's going to be Drômingly good!

Ahhh the Drôme, wouldn't you just love to live there 💭? Between lavender 🪻, poppies 🌹, rolling landscapes, and a Mediterranean climate, it is a department halfway between the warm southern cities ☀️ and the high alpine mountains 🏔️.

The beautiful Drômoise region, located in the southeast of France 🇫🇷 is a capital for outdoor activities. Climbers 🧗, cyclists, hikers, and our favorites, the trail runners, will undoubtedly recommend it to you. From a landscape perspective: it's ultimate luxury. Swimmers can explore the waterways of the Isère, the Drôme, and the Roubion 🏊. We're not saying the water is warm 💧, but at least you can cool off. It's a detail that can be important once the sports activities are over 👀. On land, the Vercors massif and its peaks are renowned throughout France for their beauty and preservation 🤩. Whether you came simply for the trail, or to engage in various original disciplines like canyoning, spelunking, or climbing, you'll have a life-size playground 🌳.

The trail and Drôme, they fit together

But in this area, it's clearly the trail that remains the undisputed queen of sports. And we're not saying this lightly 💨: if François D’Haene participated in many local trails, it must be worth it. Does the name "Kilian Jornet" ring a bell? If so, you can follow in his footsteps, as he also participated in many competitions in the Vercors. We've told you and we insist: the 26 is really not a department to be taken lightly 😎. The Ultra Trail du Vercors will be the perfect example to underscore our point ‼️. This adventure (because yes, at this level, it's much more than just a race) starts at Autrans-Méaudre in Vercors, and takes you on distances ranging from 9 to 80 km, with up to over 4,000 mD+, real cliffs! 🫨 You won't be bored. In the same style, but further south, you can also join the UTMC, which offers similar distances and elevations. In terms of experience, it will be quite similar, but you are about to discover completely new mountains. If you're looking for more accessible formats but an equally majestic setting, we still have races in stock: the Trail des Truffières, the Trail des Nounours, and the Trail Drôme en Baronnies 🏃. With several formats ranging from 8 to 49 km, you can select the race that suits you, no matter which part of the Drôme you have chosen to spend your holidays.

Races for all tastes

Finally, for fans of original concepts, the Trail Rose 💖 offers a 24-hour long race. If you're an insomniac, it's perfect, you won't have to close an eye all night 😴. Here, you start early in the morning and don't stop until the same time the next day. The goal? 🎯 To cover the most kilometers in a limited time. We'll leave you to run while we go to bed along with the sun 🛌. In a completely different style, the Duo de l’Hermitage is also a unique race: victory must be shared 🫂. Here, it's impossible to register solo, everything relies on teamwork. We therefore suggest that you choose your partner wisely 🤪.

At the crossroads of sport and history

Once the trails are explored 🥾, you can also stop in the little towns in the area. Maybe the villages of Mirmande, Le Poët-Laval, or Dieulefit ring a bell? 🤔 If you're an undisputed fan of Stéphane Bern 🎤 and enjoy the "Secrets d’Histoire" show, look no further, these may be old memories surfacing. Indeed, the department is also famous for its many historical and cultural wonders it houses. Take advantage of your visit to stop by the Château de Grignan 🏰, the Palais Idéal du Facteur Cheval, or the famous Tour de Crest. Among the major cities, you can also make a stop in Valence to admire its architecture and the many monuments that compose it 🏛️. Finally, Montélimar also has many surprises in store for you, including a very sweet one that will delight your taste buds for sure (but you know, the one that sticks to your teeth, brown and white...🍬).

So, whether you want to simply get closer to the South and the sun, or set out to conquer the legendary mountains of the region, lace up your sneakers, choose your race, and prepare to return with a full stomach and your legs worn out 😁.
