The event in a few words

Milan, is THE capital of style, fashion and calcio... but above all, for a day in November, it becomes the capital of running ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ. Forget the Fashion Week runways: your moment of glory awaits you on the asphalt of Milano21 ๐Ÿ. Two distances on the menu in the capital of Lombardy: a 10 km to sprint through the streets of Milan ๐Ÿ™๏ธ and a half-marathon to cover the city in long strides ๐Ÿš€. Here, every meter covered is a perfect blend of performance and fast-paced guided tour ๐Ÿ‘€.

The 10 km is the fast and efficient option โšก๏ธ. If you want to battle the clock โฑ๏ธ, Milan's ready to roll out its runway to help you hit your best time โฑ๏ธ. The pavement is smooth, the streets are wide, and everything is geared for you to zoom like a rocket ๐Ÿš€. But if speed isn't your thing, no worries ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ: there's also a non-timed version where you can take your time โณ, lift your head and enjoy the scenery ๐Ÿ›๏ธ. Because in Milan, there are gems around every corner ๐Ÿคฉ. You'll see Il Duomo, the Galleria Vittorio EmanueleII, where even your cardio might want to buy a three-piece suit ๐Ÿ›๏ธ, or even the Cenacolo Vinciano, with Leonardo da Vinci's The Last Supper ๐ŸŽจ, to remind you that even the greatest geniuses took their time to finish their works ๐Ÿ–Œ๏ธ.

As for the half-marathon, it's a different story: 21 km of pure pleasure, on a flat and super fast course that's ripe for a personal record ๐Ÿฅ‡. Here, you can stretch your stride ๐Ÿฆต and let yourself be carried away by the electric atmosphere of Milan's streets โšก๏ธ. But beware โš ๏ธ, there's a catch: Milan is so beautiful you might slow down to admire the view ๐Ÿ‘€. We warn you, between two surges ๐Ÿ’จ, you'll want to look back for one last glance at Il Duomo โ›ช๏ธ.

And if you feel like extending your stay ๐Ÿงณ, Lombardy is ready to welcome you with its wonders ๐ŸŒ„. Lakes as photogenic as your strides ๐Ÿ“ธ, mountains that touch the clouds ๐Ÿ”๏ธ, and landscapes that make you forget your burning legs ๐Ÿ”ฅ. After the finish line, it's the dolce vita that takes over ๐Ÿ•. In Milan, recovery is no joke ๐ŸคŒ: a crispy pizza to refuel, an artisan gelato to cool your calves ๐Ÿฆ and a Spritz on a terrace to celebrate your achievement as it should be. Always to be consumed in moderation of course ๐Ÿ˜.

So, ready to run the streets of Milan like a real champion? ๐Ÿ† Whether you're here to smash the clock ๐Ÿ’ฅ or enjoy every moment ๐Ÿ˜Œ, one thing is certain: Milano21 is THE race that will make you shine โœจ. Avanti, campione ! ๐Ÿš€

4 reasons to join this race

A visit to Milan's true cathedral? โ›ช
It's obviously a joke, although... For some, the real cathedral of Milan is San Siro! ๐Ÿ˜ญ The grand stadium, hosting matches for Milan and Inter every weekend, is famous for its atmosphere and impressive architecture. Worth checking out for football fans โšฝ๏ธ before heading to Milano21... A two-in-one pleasure ๐Ÿ‘.
A detour to Bergamo ๐Ÿš—
It's not every weekend you leave France, and since we're on the topic of football, why not make a detour to Bergamo, another lovely city in Lombardy which also shines with its team (Atalanta for those in the know)... and its cobbled old town! ๐Ÿซถ
Because we just can't help it... ๐Ÿ•
A must when visiting Italy, a good table surely awaits you in Lombardy, which boasts a lot of specialties ๐Ÿ. Starting with polenta (better avoid it before the race if you want to keep moving ๐Ÿ˜‚). A rather hearty, mountain-inspired dish. Milanese cutlet, risotto, minestrone, you're spoiled for choice. And if you're unsure, you can indulge in another Italian practice: let the chef advise you... Eating is a religion here, you'll never be disappointed with this technique! ๐ŸคŒ
Everyone at their own pace ๐Ÿข
The organizers had the great idea of offering a non-timed race to participants, not necessarily all focused on performance. An initiative increasingly seen in the circuit and one that we want to encourage. So that pleasure takes precedence! ๐Ÿฅณ
