Paris, the City of Light, the City of Love, and the city for runners. It's time for you to take a trip to the capital. Whether you're on the Left Bank or the Right Bank, the Seine's banks and the inclines of Parc des Buttes-Chaumont are waiting for you! Running in Paris is an unparalleled experience, so get ready to hit the pavement in the French Capital!
Paris is an ideal city for sporty strolls. In the 75 (Paris), sports are like a religion. Whether it's the home grounds of PSG football and handball teams, Stade Français, or Roland Garros, you too can become a star through running.
Before diving into an intense trail in the city, start by warming up in the Parc Rives de Seine on its 7 km sports trail. The Eiffel Tower towers over the Champ de Mars, a park that offers lovely paths for running in a pleasant atmosphere. The wide avenues of the Tuileries Garden, between the Louvre and Concorde metro stations or along the banks of the Seine, are also very inspiring places. The Parc Rives de Seine features a 100-meter track, the most famous in athletics. Does Paris lack green spaces for running? That's a myth! Enjoy a beautiful Nordic walk along the Coulée Verte in the 12th arrondissement. Its 4 km of elevated greenery provides a magical setting for those seeking fresh air away from the hustle and bustle of the capital. Another option is to visit the Jardin des Plantes, a small green spot perfect for a bucolic jog. We also recommend other spots: the Canal de l'Ourcq (which you can follow to the 93), the Martin Luther King urban park, the Parc Monceau (not the largest 🤏), the Jardin du Luxembourg (very central), or the George Brassens park. Now, for the eternal debate... Are the Bois de Vincennes and the Bois de Boulogne part of Paris 🤷♀️? Apparently yes, according to Google Maps boundaries 😉. Regardless, they are exceptional places for training, both in summer and winter! A unique feature of Paris is its weather, so be sure to be well-equipped because there's a reason why Paris and gray skies (+ rain) go hand in hand 🤣.
