The event in a few words
Ready to party in running mode in the Rhône? 🎉
High above Lyon, surrounded by the Rhône River and the Saône 🌊, the LUT by Night invites you to run until dawn! 🌝 Even if November ❄️ is a chilly month, after a good warm-up, you'll be on fire! 🔥 It's time to strut your stuff on the asphalt with this fabulous Lyon urban trail! 🦁
Get ready for a crazy night (feel free to hum along! 😆). The City of Lights will shine brightly until the end of the night 🎶. Three new tracks await you for this 11th edition of the Lyon Urban Trail by Night! 🎉 In the heart of the Gauls' capital, under the starry sky 🌟 (or mostly your headlamp's glow 🔦), you can enjoy the magical atmosphere of the city over 10 km, 20 km, or 30 km in timed mode ⏱️. And since night is also for partying 🥳, there's a 10 km 👻 untimed option. Midnight trail runners 🕛 are going to keep you on your feet all night long! 😅
The show will take place on the right bank of the Saône, an event you simply can't miss! During your urban trail, you'll make Place Saint-Jean ⛪ and Rue Tramassac tremble, before raising the temperature as you ascend the heights of Lyon 👆, step by step, up to the iconic Fourvière hill! There, you can unleash your best moonwalks 🕺 on its characteristic cobblestone streets 👟. Don't stop ‘til you get enough, just like the King of Pop sang! 🎤 And since this year marks the event's 10th anniversary 🎂, not only are the distances changing… the courses are getting a makeover too! 😯 Like an actor slipping into a trail runner's shoes 👟, you'll start at the legendary Roman Theatre of Fourvière, on the grand amphitheater stage 🎭. The excitement will be at its peak, even your headlamp might just burst! 💡 To finish, you'll be welcomed by a cheering crowd at the foot of the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière ⛪, with a magical view overlooking all of Lyon 🤩.
After your race, in the early morning you won't have a hangover 🪵. However, you might face some muscle soreness! 😂 So to avoid a painful recovery, reward your efforts by indulging in Lyonnais specialties in the gastronomic capital of France 🍽️. Start with a slice of pâté en croûte and some Saint-Marcellin (yes, this delicious soft cheese 🧀 actually originates from Isère, Drôme, or Savoie 😋), and finish with a coussin de Lyon for a sweeter touch, a chocolate ganache wrapped in marzipan and flavored with curaçao 🤤. A perfect end to a perfect night! 😜
Come heat things up 🌡️ to the max and show off your best moves at the LUT by Night 🕺!
