24 hours non-stop? Yes, yes, you read it right, the T24 Xtrem Triathlon, is no joke 😬. Anyway, just from its name you can understand, it's an extreme event 😶. Here, see you in Passy, in the beautiful French Alps 🇫🇷. At the foot of the Fiz chain, the mountains will be your allies for this course ⛰️. You will be between the turquoise lake, the Mont-Blanc, and the hamlets of the Plain 📍. Maybe that's what they call a dream setting 💭. We've mentioned the mountains but don't worry, the elevation won't be killer, just an accompaniment 😉. By combining the swim, bike, and run, you'll come out with legs on fire 🔥. Your month of September will thus be punctuated by this challenge, gearing you up for the return to school 💼. Well, given what's planned, alone it could be daunting, but NO PANIC, 95% of participants do this challenge in groups! Yes, you can do all of this in duo or in relay of 4 or 6. 👯♀️
Well, enough talking, let us present the crazy concept that awaits you 🙌. The goal is simple: do the longest triathlon possible, in 24 hours 🕛. For this, you will have a clear program with 4 hours of swimming to start 🏊. On a 1,000 m loop, you will need to do the most rounds possible 🔄. Little advantage, you and your colleagues will feel like you're on a full trip, with an Australian exit for each round! 🇦🇺 Joking aside, it's only the beginning of the challenge 💫. After this first stage, it's time for the bike 🚲. A 20 km loop will be traced and a tip: enjoy it, because you'll be around it for 12 hours, non-stop 🛑. Same principle: the more laps you accumulate, the more points you earn ➕. With this, the night may seem long, but save some energy, it’s not over yet 👀. If your calculations are right, there are 8 hours of running left 📋. For this last event, the team will have to give everything to complete the 5 km until exhausted 🤪. Well, at this stage, unless you are superheroes, it's the mind that will take over for this finale ⚡️.
One might wonder: how do you win? ✅ For each kilometer completed and depending on the discipline, you earn a certain number of points. For swimming, every kilometer will earn you 15 points 🙂. For cycling and running, 1 km will earn you 1 point. So don't aim for 1,000,000, it could be difficult… 🌧️ FYI, the maximum points acquired on a T24 challenge is 1,204 points! That sets the bar quite high 🧐. By the way, if you like this concept, keep a motivated team, because there are others in different cities! 😄 There are: on Ré Island, in Breizh, and in Bormes-les-Mimosas 📍. Since doing one requires being bonkers, might as well push the envelope and do others, right? 😆
WOWWWW! This is not a challenge you will undertake every day, that's for sure 🥵. But at the end of the day you will be more than proud of yourself, or of you all, guaranteed! ✊ Given the 24 hours planned, you'll probably want some rest 💤. Afterward, with a view like this, you'll definitely want to ignore the soreness, to enjoy the surroundings 😍. The commune of Passy is known for offering sublime panoramas 🤩. Our advice: go for local walks to get an unbeatable view of the Mont-Blanc! 🏔️ As we mentioned, FORGET YOUR SORENESS 🫠. Well, there are other ways to enjoy... Like enjoying a good Savoyard fondue 🫕, or perhaps a raclette with cheese and cold cuts from the region 📍. And why not continue in this direction and finish with a homemade blueberry pie 🫐.
With all that, your ticket is surely already booked, you just have to train 🌬️.
A message from the organizer:
"IN A FEW WORDS... If you're looking for harmony between lakes and mountains, Passy, nestled in the heart of the Alps, is the perfect destination. The routes will guide you through the forest, mountains, and hamlets of the Passy plain with exceptional views. An experience that will test your endurance, with ascents near the Fiz mountain range!
5 REASONS TO DO MONT-BLANC: Passy It's of sheer beauty! The turquoise water, the mountains, Mont-Blanc, the hamlets... you're going to be blown away! It climbs! You'll need to gain elevation, always with an unobstructed view of Mont-Blanc! It's our little surprise And yes! In 2025 it wasn't one, but two new races on the program! It's perfect for disconnecting At the foot of the Fiz range between Lake Passy and Mont-Blanc, you'll feel like you're at the end of the world, where time stops for the weekend. It's the best beer! They say T24's beer pairs very well with fondue ;)"
And here we go for a crazy triathlon. A 24-hour program, with one goal: to do the longest triathlon possible. Whether you're in a duo, in a relay of 4 or 6 or alone, good luck, it's surely going to be tough tomorrow 😆.
It all starts with 4 hours of swimming 🏊. With a lap of 1,000 m, which must be done as many times as possible 🔄. All laps will end with an Australian exit, but don't pretend to be a kangaroo and save your energy to have the most points at the end 🦘. Speaking of points, each kilometer will validate 15 points, so do your best to get a lot! ➕
After this nice little warm-up, in the late afternoon, it's off for 12 hours of cycling. Yes, yes, it's going to be a beautiful night for all participants. A loop of 20.5 km with 230 mD+, will be set to do as you wish 😋. The Alpine nature will offer you magnificent views, even if it’s a bit at night, try to keep your eyes wide open 👀. Here, 1 kilometer = 1 point, so just pedal hard to get through the evening quickly ⚡️.
To finish, what's better than a morning run? 👐 4 + 12 = 16, quick calculations, there are 8 hours left to complete this challenge. If we haven't lost anyone, since it's a triathlon, the end will be running 🏃♀️. Here, you have to tap into the deepest energy, to do this loop of 4.5 km and 20 mD+ as many times as possible. Just like cycling, here the number of kilometers will be equal to the number of points ✅.
Well, after all that one thing to say: BRAVO 👏.
