In September if you are prudent, buy grains and clothes... for running! 😂 Here is a new marathon to prepare for if you want to expand your running experience around the world! 🗺️ We present to you the Warsaw Marathon, an event in the heart of the capital of Poland! 🇵🇱 You know the major marathons in Europe, but this one we think you'll discover with us! 👀 Formerly known as the "Peace Marathon" ✌️, it returns for its 47th edition. Regular at this time of year, for the very pleasant temperatures that delight the runners 🌡️. It's one of the few marathons that has never missed an edition since its inception in 1979! 🤓 Every year, the Warsaw Marathon is a festive meeting place for runners from around the world! 🌏
The Warsaw Marathon offers, of course, 42 km, the queen distance 👑 of the event, but also invites you to participate in a half-marathon, a mini-marathon (ranging from 50 to 1,200m) for children, or you can cut a few kilometers short by running the 10 km! 🏃♂️ In any case, the courses go right through the middle of the city, allowing you to admire the Giant Palm 🌴, the Palace of Culture and Science or even cross the Vistula 💦. It's also an opportunity for you, even without participating in the relay, not to run alone... You didn't understand? Let us explain, the event offers to take on this challenge by supporting a charitable cause that partners with the race! 🤝 By signing up for the charity course, you set up a virtual fundraiser, and when the minimum amount is raised, you will receive an orange bib 🧡, which signifies your participation for a good cause! 🎽 Running for yourself is great, but when you can also do it for others, it's even better, right? 😎
In any case, once you've given your best on the distance you've chosen 🥊, we suggest you move on to the relaxation moment! 💆♀️ Yes, because every work deserves a reward... Uh no, that's not the right expression! But more like: after effort, comes comfort! 😅 To start, stop by Plac Zbawiciela and grab a coffee ☕ at Charlotte, where the chocolate croissant is so good you might seriously consider changing your nationality 🍫. Then, head to the Palace of Culture and Science. Go to the top for a breathtaking view 💨, and take the opportunity to wonder why Soviet skyscrapers look strangely like Gotham City 🦇. Make a stop in Praga, Warsaw's hipster district, where the street art is so cool even Banksy might feel envious 🎨. Finally, end your day at BarStudio, a hidden bar in the Dramatic Theater, where you can sip a cocktail 🍸 and feel as sophisticated as a cursed Polish poet 🎭.
Now that you've got all the information, don't waste any time signing up! A dream experience awaits you! 🔥
The Warsaw Marathon, also called the Warsaw Marathon, will take place again in the center of the Polish capital 🇵🇱. Starting from the Palace of Culture and Science, you will pass through the Aleje Jerozolimskie, passing the iconic De Gaulle Roundabout with its typical palm tree 🌴. You will then head towards the Poniatowski Bridge and cross the Vistula 💦. The route continues through the Washington Roundabout towards Modrzewiowa. Along the way, you will approach the PGE Narodowy Stadium 🏟️, then return to the left bank of Warsaw via the Gdański Bridge and head north 🧭.
You will then run near Powązki, then cross the dynamically developing district of Wola along Obozowa and Księcia Janusza streets, before entering Bemowo and Bielany 🏃♂️.
The final kilometers of the course will take you along Królewska and Mazowiecka streets, lined with historic buildings and modern office buildings 🏙️. The finish line and the Marathon Village at the Palace of Culture and Science beautifully conclude the royal distance 🏁.
The start and finish of the 10 km race are on Świętokrzyska Street, then Marszałkowska Street, Jerozolimskie Avenue, Poniatowski Bridge and Waszyngtona Avenue. After a U-turn, you'll return to the starting point. It's a tour of Warsaw in the blink of an eye! 👀 Long straight sections will allow you to speed up and focus on maintaining your pace or enjoying the view 👏.
