Half-Marathon in Île-de-France, no half-measures

The Île-de-France is a sporty region thirsty for events. Parisians love the half-marathon, and the half-marathon loves Parisians. Plenty of races to choose from...

The city of light of Paris attracts both foreign and French 🇫🇷 tourists with its monuments and beauty, its romance, the Seine... And indeed the French capital and its region also attract many runners 🏃🏼‍♀️, who are abundant in our beautiful country. It's worth noting that the playing field is large, and the quality of races numerous (see the second paragraph...). Without making a fuss, the Île-de-France region, the most populated in France (12 million inhabitants, nearly 20% of the French population), offers numerous forested areas 🌲🌳 that will help you easily forget the asphalt. Nature is indeed present in IDF, providing fresh air galore! Mention must be made of the Domaine de Saint-Cloud, an ideal bridge between city and nature, the Forest of Rambouillet and its kilometers of paths where castles 🏰 and monuments abound 😍, the Chevreuse Valley, the Gâtinais, Versailles and the park of the castle... And let's not forget the Forest of Fontainebleau, known for its large rocks offering a perfect setting for climbing enthusiasts 🧗🏼‍♀️…

So, what about the half-marathon races in Île-de-France? Check out the list below... We've selected some of the most renowned races, but the list is long! The Semi-Marathon de Boulogne-Billancourt Christian Granger annually hosts thousands of runners striving for records, as the course is designed for it. It’s safe to say that the starting line will be intense 🧨! This is a wonderful race that highlights both the city, and also nature, particularly with the crossing of the Bois de Boulogne. A para-athletics race is also on the schedule. More than 40,000 participants are expected for the Harmonie Mutuelle Semi de Paris. A race cited in our top 15 half-marathons in Europe! Starting from the Île de la Cité, the finish line is set at Place de la Bastille. It is also a planet-friendly race. The Semi-Marathon du Bois de Vincennes (Val-de-Marne) and the Semi-Marathon de Rambouillet (Yvelines) honor the forests 🌳 of Île-de-France with super nice courses. Let's walk through the woods...
